Default Looking for Michigan people!

I am SO happy to be in The Villages. I moved from Michigan. It took us 15 years to get down here! Is anyone from Michigan?

Is this where I bring up that I went to Ohio State when Woody Hayes was hanging out there?

I grew up in Michigan until 1996 when I moved to Tennessee. I've lived in Berkley, Royal Oak, Howell, Okemos, Northville and I am now living in Arkansas waiting for the day we can move to The Villages.

Default Michigan

Where in the Villages did you buy and what did you end up with (Villa, house)?

We are from Higgins Lake and were about to buy down there but came down with cancer. So it's on the back burner but not out of the picture for sure.

Cool

I am from Michigan. Spent most of my former life in the Grand Rapids area. Happy to be retired and living in TV. Remember the Bo (Michigan) and Woody (Ohio State) wars and enjoyed them.

Hubby and I are from Michigan....we both grew up in Traverse City, moved to the Metro Detroit area because of jobs. We lived in Deaborn for 9 years, and the last 15 years in Plymouth. Just sold the house and moved to TV 6 weeks ago. We are renting a villa in Sunset Pointe while our house is being built in Hemingway. We are loving every minute of it.

There are lots of Michiganders down here. We snowbird between Clinton Township and our place in Hadley. My wife grew up in Harbor Beach and I lived in Warren. That was a LONG time ago. There are over 400 folks in The Michigan Club and there is also a Western Michigan Club.

Just a little FYI. Once we move here from Michigan, we no longer are Michiganders. We are now Michigoners.

I spent many summers at family vacation cottages, and a reloacated and remodeled Chicago street car, in Van Buren State Park near South Haven. Still have many cousins that own cottages there.
