Default Moving from Pacific Northwest

We purchased in Pinella & looking for others in TV who have moved from the Pacific Northwest. Would like to know how you've adjusted, etc. & maybe get together.

We moved here from Tacoma, Wa in July 2013. Took some adjusting to get use to the hot humid summer. But we survived. It's starting to cool off. Love the life style here. People are really friendly and helpful. And there are tons of things to get involved .

Welcome! We were 30 years in Portland and I grew up in Bellingham. Bought here in 2004, retired in 2007 and just moved to a new home in Charlotte - the other end of Pinellas Pl from you. This was our first summer here and you just adjust your lifestyle to accommodate the heat. It was ok and we enjoyed the slower pace and much less traffic. We find the thing we miss the most is cold tap water!
We would love to meet with a group from the PNW. Give us a shout when you get here.

We are from Olympia, WA. We moved here part-time last year. We sold our WA house this summer and moved down full-time last week. I love it here. There is so much to do and the daily sunshine is great. We have not experienced the summer heat but have grandchildren in Boston and WA and relatives in PA to visit when it is too hot here. Where exactly are you from?

We're in Kingston - across the Sound from Seattle. Just put our house on the market here. Our house in TV closes Jan 8th so a quick sale would be nice.

We moved from Bellevue, Washington in March and bought our house on May 17th. We're in Orange Blossom ( the historical side of the Villages). I lived in Bellevue for over 30 years and my husband has lived there for close to 10 years. We paid cash for our house which was fully furnished (with a 65" flat screen T.V.) and with the extra money we bought a golf cart. It is so much fun here because you can ride your golf cart anywhere you want to go. Shopping, banking, stores, etc. are close by. We both have part time jobs. I'm a Gate Attendant at one of the busiest gates and my husband is a Golf Ambassador for a country club. We are just "Living the Dream"!!! Would love to meet you!!!

We are also from the PNW, lived in Portland OR and the last few in Port Orchard WA. We have been here for about two and half years. We had no trouble adapting to the weather as about 30 years ago we used to live a little south of here but a job change moved us to the PNW. We enjoy the summers here and don't mind the heat. We play golf just about everyday and usually around 4 PM. We can deal with the heat a lot better than the cold and all the sunshine is a plus.
