We sold our home 2 weeks after putting it on the market. We figured it would be out there for some time as well. I still can't believe it. We close in Feb.
Looking forward to meeting everyone!

My biggest fear of moving there is the gators. I have one cat and I do not want a gator to come through a screen in patio after her. We do not want to enclose it. We do like sitting outside in the early mornings and late evenings. Our realtor mentioned a kick plate. We were thinking about some sort of dark fence on the inside, like you see at the resorts, for that reason and some privacy. Has there ever been a problem with this happening there? We have bugs and snakes here, so they don't worry me so much.

After that, we sell the snowblower.
Hi MSG@TV,
Where are you in PA? I dread this winter forecast. Really going to make us
pay to get to TV. I have met so many people on this forum that we keep in
touch. Can't wait to meet both of you and all of them. After the 3 holidays
it will be a long one. If I could only have been 65 this year instead of next
as Bob is 2 yrs older. Would have been long gone.

keep in touch.

Dear Mar/bob,

We live in Ft. Washington. Love Buckingham-visit there a lot in the summers because of all the wonderful antique shops. Isn't there an over 55 in your town? If I recall, it's high priced, and of course, in a cold climate. Sounds like you and your husband are spaced in age like we are. Mine will reach 66 next summer, but I'm a little less than two years younger. We also are planning to live in a Begonia, although we're building in Fernandina, and I recall your mentioning Charlotte? Nice to meet you. BTW, I recall someone else on these BB's who's from Chalfont.

Hi,
We are in that high priced 55 comm. called the village of Buckingham. You pay
$500.00 a month land rent for nothing. I see our ages are close. Bob will be
66 and I will be 64 end of this month. That 64 is the hold up in moving to TV.
Stop by and we will show you this place and would be nice to meet both
of you. 215-598-3378

Hi Mike & Val,
Hope you get this msg. We sent one b-4 and did not hear from you.
We are somewhat close. Live in Buckingham, Pa
That would be something if we moved to TV and were close by.
Keep in touch. You will get there a little sooner than us. We are in the
fall of 2013.

I also wanted to thank everyone here on this forum. You have help with many many questions that we had. I hope to become a more active member once we get moved. We are super busy here right now.
We are in North Central PA-think Buffalo/Rochester NY. We are right on the PA-NY state line. We have had 3.5 inches of rain so far and it is spitting snow right now. It has always been windy here, but last night was the worse. Luckily we had no damage.
For all of you in harms way, please stay safe.

Unless you live right by a water pond the likelihood that you will be bothered by a alligator is slim. While we have a few in The Villages, they are not a over populated animal here.

If we aren't excited about a certain person moving to The Villages, then we lay it on thick about the alligators, lovebugs, snakes, etc. LOL Tends to send them looking to other states for retirement.

Thank you, I won't worry so much now. Our realtor said they really weren't a problem. He did mention a kick plate for the patio, but we'll see after settling in there.

Wow, guess I am not the only one that wants to see snow in the rear view mirror. We are also coming in March to buy a Begonia, see you in line.

Hi, guys. Sent you a PM about a week ago in response to yours. Did you get it?
Keep your fingers crossed; so far the weather in these parts has not been that bad. Perhaps thats because the worst weather came before winter in the form of hurricane Sandy.
Did you find a house in TV or will you continue to rent for awhile?

Already tired of the cold and darkness that promises to bring more of the same. Lack of light, sunshine, and warmth turns us into mole people for 6 months!
Did you choose an area that you think you will be buying in?
Maybe we will be neighbors and can talk about the distant memories of the previous days of snow and ice while laying by the pool in December!
HELLO MICHIGANDERS
MARY AND I ARE ALSO FROM THERE, HOUGHTON LK. AREA. WE ARE BUILDING IN FERNANDIA ON QUAIL CT. HOPE TO SEE YOU AT THE MICHIGAN CLUB.
