Okay...call me OCD if you will (but you better not...lol) but I've finally figured out how to print a map of Gilchrist 209 off of the computer. Then, going with the lot numbers that can be read on TV website, I've got all of the lots numbered so I know where you guys are going to be building...whew! Now, maybe I can keep everyone straight!

Default Maps ?????

Those West Virginia State Trooper cars must have had GPS navigation systems. They don't need no stinking maps

Trust me A-4, when I was in the field GPS wasn't invented yet and we didn't have body armor, portable radios, cages in the cars, pepper spray, expandable batons or computers/internet connection. All we had was and old low band radio, .357 magnum revolver with dump pouches for spare ammo, shotgun (which had to be unloaded and cased in the trunk) and a 36' hickory riot baton...rofl. Ahhhh, the good old days! Now days I depend on good old paper maps and GPS!

Hi Carol! Went to the house today and got some more pics of the back yard. We also met Dave and Miranda (?) your next door neighbors. Seem like really nice people. There's a pic in the pile taken from your "front door" to my back door...lol

Take Care

Rusty
Our design meeting is on 10/15--we're coming down on the 12th with good friends and are staying until the 18th in the Eleanor Villas in the Village of Pinellas so we'll be close to the new homestead. Can't wait to meet you and Janice in person This will be our sixth trip down so by now we feel like old pros and know where everything is--now just have to show the friends around.

Thanks for the welcome and we're enjoying the pics of your house. We can't wait to move down and meet everyone in person--we've built before in Ohio and had a great neighborhood and I'm sure our luck will continue on with us down South. Wine and beer--you can't go wrong

WVMtnBoy and HotRod: Is that her pool already? I can't believe it's that far along! Wow! It really gives you an idea of how the house is going to "feel"...can't wait for mine to start. And Rusty: I know you are so excited for Thursday. We'll ALL be thinking of you and Janice. You, my friend, are our one-man neighborhood watch committee!

We're 208.84 and I'm guessing if we took off for the Gilly pool at the same time with our golf carts I might win. We design Thanksgiving week. Please put Allan and Davina on your spreadsheet! We are so looking forward to meeting all our new neighbors.

We just moved out design date up to 12/13, so now the wheels are in motion.

I'm sending you a PM to get information for the Gilly - Fern list. Don't let those fine people in the Fernandina Flockers find out you're defecting

Jimbo! Awesome news! And you have decided the WP, correct? I am thrilled you were able to move up your date! Are you stretching, bumping or changing anything? We are all very excited for you! Not sure how long you will be there in Dec, but please take the time to stop over in Gillyland and visit us! Enjoy the rest of your week!

Thanks very much, we can only bump front or back 2' on our lot, we think we will bump one front BR out into bow window which doesn' effect the build foot print.

Then the lanai is 32x9 already there is grass on one end of that lanai, 18' wide, I'm thinking about adding a cage over that and bumping it 2', so it will be 18x11.

Perfect spot for a spa. so the lanai will be 50' long.

There are other changes that will available on design dates after Dec 1 not sure what they are except they reconfigured the laundry and entry way that looks fantastic.

The new design center will be opening soon I 'll find out if there are any other changes.

One thing I want to change is add a slider off the kitchen nook in place of the windows.

We also will drop all the windows down 6" from 24" to 18" sill height, makes a big difference.

Please keep in touch and let us know if you would like to get together for drinks/dinner when you get here. I'm leaving for Biketoberfest in Daytona on the 14 so we'd have to do it on the 12th or 13th or you guys can go with Janice. We'd love to meet you both. Just sit back and enjoy the design meeting. This place runs like a well oiled machine and the designers make every effort to keep the process easy and successful! Hope to see you soon!

Jimbo, sounds as if you have it all under control. I am anxious to see the design changes you are talking about and how they will differ from our homes now. They just keep improving! Your lanai/spa sounds wonderful!!

I was so surprised when I saw those pictures. How quick is that? And you start in just another 2 days. Gosh-everything seems to be coming together!
And I agree about Rusty being toe go-to neighborhood guy! Awesome neighbor!
