Jimbo gave the technical answer. The simple answer is Schedule 40 plumbing pipe is heavier duty than minimum and better withstands ground movement, etc. and is harder to crack. It is a typical heavier duty plumbing pipe usually. Standard in building applications.
Yes, guys are good for some things! Plumbing and even photography.

Also like your new location--Rusty--Party Central--quite right
I am soooo happy for you guys! Another house to watch and take care of...

I've got some things going on tomorrow but you can be sure that when the pounding of the stakes and moving of sand happens you will be the first to know (pics included).

I know how you feel and I've gotta tell ya that the anticipation will get worse...lol.

And so starts another dream in Partyville (aka: Gilchrist). Can't wait for you guys to get down here. I'm gonna need the help!!!

Schedule 40 or 80 or 160 refers to the wall thickness of the pipe

Gracie and I have been so busy keeping an eye on the neighborhood that we've forgotten to tell everyone whats been going on at Bradshaw Lane!

Last week we had Tim "The Toolman" Taylor install the attic stairs and put an epoxy covering on the garage floor. Now I can finally start clearing out Janice's craftroom.

Yesterday I managed to put together another storage cabinet for the garage, put a lot of stuff in the attic for storage and set up a wall mounted garage vacuum.

Today, Woody from Superior Concrete Designs comes to acid wash the lanai in preparation for the paint/design. I've also got to put together an over the commode storage shelf for my mother who officially becomes a frog on Friday. I'm also making a trip to Home Depot for lumber to build my workbench in the garage.

Janice left yesterday for San Francisco to see the grandkids for two weeks so Gracie, Annabelle and I are baching it for a while.

For those of you who haven't been in the 'hood for a while you will be absolutely amazed at what's happened in the time that you've been gone. This place has blossomed and homes are going up like toadstools after a warm rain.

I'm starting to get lonely up on the hill all by myself so I really wish you guys would light a fire, kick the tires and get your behinds down here!!!!

Six weeks from today, Rusty, and I'll be moving in soon you'll have so many friends there you won't know what to do with yourself! It's a good thing you are taking care of business now while you have the chance
So, things are growing faster than toadstools after a warm rain???
Is that a WV saying or a Rustyism??? I for one, am excited beyond belief to "Come on down"! to TV land!!!!
Rusty, hold on to the names of your aftermarket people for me, i.e. The closet people, garage guy, etc! I am planning much of the same! Hope to see you soon! And can't wait to meet everyone else!

Default Castles

Hopefully you'll let the "liitle people" into the kingdom of Gilchrest when we arrive as your castles will be all completed and we'll just be starting on ours--we'll be lucky to get furniture by the summer Enjoy the "single-life" for the next two weeks but don't forget about your neighborhood duties-ha!

Default Home discount coupon

Just received an email from the design team, it included an actual copon staing the discount %.

They are a first class act.

We were saying that when we booked the date we never had the % in writing from our sales rep just their word, which we trust but nice in black & white.

Did you guys get this?

Default Coupon

Yes, indeed! I got one as well. It was not necessary to have it with me, but I did just in case. I felt everything to be quite professional and above board. Seeing what may await after all is said and done, but I would expect more of the same. Can't wait to hear about your meeting, Jimbo, how it went, and what you thought! Then the excitement of the build. I am getting itchy now, as I can see so much progress and know the end is in sight! Six weeks to close. How can it seem so near and so far at the same time?

It's interesting about the time you close we begin........

I'm getting tired of drawing up different floor plan possibilities, I have a drafting table in my living room with papers all over the place including taped to walls.

The Villages Florida

I don't think they will want to price all these out

I worked out the spa and a really nice Home Theatre, it will have a 100" screen, always wanted one.

Good for you, Jimbo! That's exactly what you should have in retirement. Lord knowS you worked hard enough to get here, so enjoy these years ahead of you! I was so glad to hear you decided on the house you really wanted and will now design it just for the two of you! We all look forward to seeing that come to fruition!

Default design meeting Thanksgiving week

We rec'd our discount certificate very soon after we set up the design meeting. I rec'd a call today from our sales rep and we were requested to send all our wants ASAP so our soon to be named designer has all our info in advance. We are meeting with our sales rep on Sunday to go to the models to pick out all the things we can. We have her all day. Then Monday we meet our designer.
I was actually putting down my thoughts today by room because we are in CT where I just met our third grand child Karissa Faye 11 days old today.
My wife has been here since before the birth so I had some catching up to do. She's such a cutie and we cannot wait to have our TV home ready for her to visit!

Default TwinSpin's Trek Begins!!!

Hello Guys!!! Well, today was the big day! I was gone most of the day and when I got back I had to make a mad dash down to your lot to see what was going on. It appears that they got the foundation staked out and the lines stretched for the excavation. I would be willing to bet that tomorrow sees some sand being moved. The pic isn't great but I thought that you'd still want one of the First Day. Now it's full speed ahead...

Enjoy!!!
