I'm glowing, but not from the Radon. For the last 10 years before I retired, every refueling outage I would organize a bunch of managers into the "Humpers and Hookers" team. As soon as the plant would cool down my team would throw 100 pound lead blanket over our shoulder and carry them (Hump) to radioactive hot spots and hang them over the source (Hook) so workers coming in to do work could work with reduced dose. The guys who did the nozzel dams, (Jumpers) were the only ones who took more dose that us Humpers and Hookers. Maybe I shouldn't have told you all this ??? Nuc Power is safe . . . . I promise.

A4 congratulations on your radon irradication. We can always give you a ride across Pinellas as we have a little further to go.
Jimbo, very familiar with the airstream, very nice.
Junction 29, everything seems to be moving very fast.
Can't wait to meet everyone! I want to do the ladies shopping day too.
This thread has been very fun, almost like being there, (but not quite).

Just no stretches. The orientation is perfect and it even has a small view of the golf course. (Between 4 houses ) The only problem will be coming back acrossed Pineallas on my hands and knees could get hazardous.
Don't you ever worry about that brother!!! We'll take care of ya but I just know that it won't come to that. Have faith. You are destined to be a "GillBilly"!!!

So who has Bright house and what kind of packages / bundles do they have?
I hear they are better than Comcast but more expensive? Rusty. . . . . I think you were looking at them weren't you?

I spoke to their rep a few days ago I need some special stuff for the home theater, sounded cheap for added extras I need.

From all I read here they have good speed and service, I'll let others who actually R using them chime in here.

I just ordered Brighthouse and they will be coming on Dec 6th to install. I use a personal MiFi for Internet access, so I ordered the cable and landline as I will be a snowbird this first year and I understand landline is required for house watch companies/people. However that being said, for unlimited nationwide including Canada, PR, etc. Also caller ID, call forwarding, voicemail, etc...I was quoted 90 per month for digital HDTV and the phone. I think it was 120 with all three but don't quote me. The person to call is Paul Muniz 407-504-2580. If I recall it is something ridiculous like 200 channels. They come thru the main box, but you can run TV's in any room just connected to the cable line (no box) and get 79 (?) channels? Something of that sort. So for now I just will have the main box in the living area as I don't see any need for others at this time. He was informative and answered all my questions. Much cheaper than what I pay here in Chicago!

So, if A-4 comes to our parties, Calc, and goes swimming at night, we won't have to turn on the pool lights? sounds like a plan to me! I wonder if he works for beer? and if I take him at night when I walk the dogs..... The ideas are limitless!!!
You know we love you A-4!

Thanks Hot Rod for the Brighthouse info. That was helpful. I was wondering if you had any suggestions about blinds? Did you use TV or order you own?

U only use TV if you like overpaying, try 48 hour blinds and few others

I knew I wanted plantation shutters and called for some estimates. In the end, I ordered from Rick at 48HR Blinds, though not the absolute cheapest. However, they work with TV and he was able to get in and measure the windows as soon as they were complete with sills, etc. My front bedroom faces west and I am covering the curved portion at the top as well, so the lead time was greater there. Approx 6-8 weeks. The other windows are no problem regarding time. I got 2" slats for the nook and laundry and bath, verticals for the sliders. All will be ready to install on the 6th with the possible exception of the one BR window. If he cannot deliver and install that particular one on that date, he will put up a temporary window treatment until the other is finished.
Not being able to be onsite myself til closing on the 5th, this is what worked for me. Rick's nephew has been keeping in touch with me and is quite pleasant. So I am hoping all will come together according to plan. Also ordered a whole house surge protector from SECO which comes with several power strips for the inside as well included in the cost. Waiting for estimates as we speak for gutters from 3 companies, and that's it for now! Whew!
