Janice and I had a super nice visit from Batman911 & his beautiful spouse this evening. Wonderful people and friendly too. These two will make a wonderful addition to Gillyland when they get here permanently in March. We can't wait!!!

Happy and safe holiday to all. Gayle and Mike
Hi Guys,

Surprised you found the energy to come along tonight but glad you did and really great to meet you.

Welcome to the neighbourhood and we hope you enjoyed yourselves and enjoyed meeting some of your new neighbours.
Thanks Andy. We really enjoyed meeting everyone at EP last night and had a great time. We feel really blessed to have such wonderful neighbors. We are
looking forward to more great gatherings in the future.

Will be interesting to see if we made the correct design decisions. Our closing date is 20 March. Tomorrow we will see the total cost of our new home

Stopped by to visit with Rusty, Janice and Grace late this afternoon. What a nice family and a beautiful home and lot. I hope ours will turn out as nice as theirs.

It was really great to meet you guys too, Mr Mayor and the Lady Mayoress are a great couple aren't they?

Dont worry, your house will be just as nice and will feel like home when you move in!

Just before our agent gave us the final price, I laid on the floor, they looked at me in ammazement and asked what I was doing, I said I didn't want to hurt myself falling off the chair with the shock when she told us the price - she looked a bit shocked and I think she thought I was crazy, just didn't understand my sense of humour at first but had a good laugh about it afterwards.

Kind regards

We finally closed on our home yesterday! A little anti-climatic unforunately...wish we could have been there in person. Somehow standing at a UPS counter in a strip mall in Virginia having what seemed like 932 pages notarized just doesn't seem as exciting as actually being handed the keys.

We are packing a truck on Christmas Eve and then leaving the day after Christmas to drive down (arriving on the 27th) for Stage One of our move (Stage Two will be over my Spring Break and then Stage Three [final] will be in June). Maybe a Gilchrist caravan to Brownwood for Happy Hour will be in order!

Merry Christmas to all!

Oh my! I just saw they released a new section in Gilchrist! Unit 211 looks officially open with a lot of spec homes available and in progress...but most of the golf course lots look available for purchase.

Soon we'll have more neighbors to greet...A-4: I think we're going to need a bigger spreadsheet...

yes 211 is open, there over 420 spec homes ready for sale.

Met a contractor working at Brownwood he was offered a contract to build a group of stores, but they gave him a dead line of 5 months to complete, I said can you build it that quick?
He said it's going to be hard but he needs the work so he signed the deal.

He was also told that after Jan it's really going to get busy building homes at a high rate, he thinks the build out will be two years.

That sounds awesome! I'm sure The Mayor has your cell # or a way to contact you (and he has mine I think)...we'll get something coordinated! Once we arrive we won't have internet and neither one of has a phone fancy enough to be a hotspot for our PCs so it will be "old-fashioned" texting for us!

Drive safe!

Best wishes to CalcTeacher and A4 on your travels down. Drive safe.

CalcTeacher, congratulations on your closing. I am sure you are very excited to see the finished product in person.

A4, that is great they moved your design date up almost 3 weeks! Congratulations.

Love the breakfast at Bonifay! Actually, I like anyplace when I don't have to cook.

Six foot bump to enlarge the MBR closet across the back of the MBR bath to the outside wall and across through the dinning room, pantry/garage. Four foot bump through Nook, kitchen and pantry (former laundry room) to allow island in kitchen. Also gained a 48" cabinet on both sides of kitchen. Added a work shop (separate room about 10' x 10') behind GC garage. Extended lanai across entire width of back of home and 16' out back. Replaced sliders with French doors in
LR. These are some of the major changes. For those of you who have not had your design meetings, we were allowed to delete the dish washer, oven, refrigerator and microwave for credit. We also moved the laundry and deep sink into the garage. We did home and Summer kitchen design yesterday and bird cage and the area inside the cage today. Tomorrow we pick fixtures, etc. The only request not approved was the elevation D we liked. Seems they have quit mfg the structures required for that elevation since our last visit. Hope to see some of you tonight at 8PM.
Batman, that info is extremely helpful on your design meeting. any other news would be most welcome as I have appt 12/26 to design a lantana.
