btw, I only live an hour N of TV and today is a miserable drippy day, but still only 59.7 degrees.
My beloved boxer Emma will be happy to meet you! See you soon, and God bless all you are doing to get to TV!
Kitty
Thanks Kitty for the greeting. I havent been online. Trying to throw and give more things away. Thank goodness I have 3 kids to give it to!
We saw pictures of the inside framing of our house. We are hoping we get somemore pix Monday.
We are 10 days out when we close on our old home. It will be sad. We have been in it for 30 years. But we are so excited to be part of a new neighborhood. I will totallly miss my friends in the neighborhood here. We do a ton together. They are having a good bye party for us at the end of Januray.
We leave on Jan 30 to get to TV. We are renting a house near the polo fields. But we will pop over and say hi to you and other gillys.
And yes, I cant wait to meet your dog. Boxers are a big favorite of mine. Give her a kiss from me. I hope Beau likes her so he has a new friend.
Okay, I have babbled on. Hello to everyone. See you in a couple of weeks.
Safe travels to all who are moving around. Gayle

Gayle, I hope that you will find this neighborhood to be very much like the home your are leaving, but better! All our neighbors are tremendously friendly and helpful, and we have had many get-togethers since my closing date of Dec 5th. I feel I have met many lifelong friends already and we are all basically starting over together in this wonderful place! Welcome and I hope to meet you very soon

Hey do you need a ride to the airport this morning?
Hi Jimbo,
They will be cold, but not overly so as befits the way to treat a real ale!

Thanks for the offer for the airport, but we were taking one car back and picking up another one.

We had better get the experimenting done asap, so we can give the ok to Mamaderby for the brown ale

What we want to know now is our cable choices in Gillyland. Don't suggest DirecTV as we had that in Tamarind Grove and didn't really care for it.

And can't post anything without a BIG shout out to HotRodGirl for all her fantastic photos! We patiently await our daily fix to see what has been added today. THANK YOU!

Teryl
HEY. I know everybody is busy with their social calendar and all but everyone ignored my question. What are our cable choices in Gillyland and your comments/suggestions please.

I use directv and really enjoy the ability to record shows and watch later or simply delay so as to FF through ads. The cost is under $90 without premium channels like HBO. There are on demand and PPV shows available. Not sure if a TIVO would do the recording with any provider?

I am sure, that for you who have completed your homes, this is old hat and I probably shouldn't bore you! But we have walls! Bob, our picture guy via our rep sent us a update today, and I guess if you heard noise on Hackberry over the weekend, it was the crew on our house! So exciting! Kitty, you'd must in slab by now...fun fun fun

Oops! My bad! Your choices are Comcast, DishTV, the other satellite co (I forget their name), Brighthouse and probably a few others that I also can't remember. We went with Brighthouse because there was a thread on here about cable companies and it seemed that BH had a good reputation with no complaints about service. I know Junction29 had a problem with the attitude of the installer at their house but I had just the opposite experience so who knows. I worked with the BH rep on TOTV and found him to be wonderful and I'm totally satisfied with the service the BH has provided. We got the 3 way package (phone, internet & cable) and I couldn't be more pleased. It seemed to me that Comcast has service issues so I avoided them. Can't wait to see you guys!!!

We close on Feb 20 and we have windows and a bath tub!!! My sister in law who lives in Amelia sends us pictures. Rusty and Janice can probably see our shingles on the west side. How exciting!!! Kitty, your slab will look like a house in no time. They are pretty quick. When you are in TV again, see how we have advanced 209-41 I find it rather amazing.

It never gets boring to see the progress, and although Rusty sent me many, many pictures (thanks, my friend) it is truly amazing to see one being built start to finish! I am in awe of the amount ofw people working and how specific the crews are on the job. They are a well oiled machine and always have a wave and Howdy when they pass you on the street. They are for the most part very conscious of my dogs when I walk them as well, taking care to drive well away whenever possible. Mostly the sites are fairly clean each day, but on windy ones, no such luck! Sit back and watch the amazing progress and worry no more about your build!!

Teryl, I decided to go with Brighthouse after pricing Clear Link. I am not impressed with Comcast, have DirecTV at home in Chicago which I like, but feel I got a good deal combining phone and TV. Did not get Internet as I use a MiFi...
