Welcome to the neighborhood! We just closed today on our house on Eastffield and so far have meet so many great people-only wish we didn't' have to fly back to Cleveland on Saturday. My hospital uses Cerner for our computer and just went to EMR about 2 years ago. If you guys are still around stop by and see us-3046. Yea we''re so excited and thanks to everyone that met us at breakfast on Monday morning.

Hello Gillys

We have just purchased new dirt, aka: 211-14, on Luraville Road. Once I can figure out how to attach a photo I will

We are part-time residents in St James (Wifey and I drive up from the Ft Lauderdale area for a few days once every five weeks or so).

As life-long Floridians, we love being near water. The W-S-W exposure here is the same as our SoFla home, so no issues in that regard. Looking forward to meeting you all....

Breakfast was fun on Monday, great to meet more people. Rich and I finally made it home this evening. Sat on the Tarmac for two hours due to mechanical problems, then they moved us to another plane. It is 38 here now with snow on the ground.

Steve and Linda, congratulations on your new home.
Twinspin, congratulations on your closing. Keep in touch.
A4, best wishes on your design meeting Friday. Keep us updated.
Yankee quilter, house looks wonderful, keep the pictures coming.
Jimbo, keep us updated on your latest endeveor, the floors will be beautiful.

To Rusty and Janice, take care of the neighborhood and thanks for making us feel so welcome to your wonderful group!

Hope to see many of you in April, if not sooner. I am already looking for inexpensive flights. It is always hard to leave, but great when we have flights booked to look forward to another trip.

Take care, Rich and Linda

Dave and Meridith, how was the flea market in Webster on Monday?

Bill and Rona, your home is really moving along now too!

Hi, and welcome!
To post a photo, click on "post reply" then use the paper clip icon on the toolbar above to attach photo from your files! Hope that helps!! Do not use the quick reply however...

Thank you for the hints!

No luck, though.

I am guessing that I cannot attach photos using an ipad?

No you cannot!! I used to be able to copy and paste, but now I can't even do that! Sorry-didn't know you were trying to post that way. You need to upload to your computer unfortunately. The IPad is useless on the forum for that.

Default So much to keep up with

Wow. When you don't check in for 24 hours, you have to read through about 4 pages of new posts to try to catch up. That being said, welcome to our newbies. You will love it here.

Report on the Flea Market...... IT IS HUGE! Only about a 20 minute drive south on 301/471. Open every Monday. One part is comprised of pretty typical junk----watches, t-shirts, melted glass bottles, purses, sunglasses, hats, jewely, etc. Probably regular vendors who really don't have the motivation to get real jobs, but who buy odd lots of cheap stuff and try to make a buck or two. The other part, across the street is made up of hundreds (seemed like thousands) of small antique dealers, collectors, etc who displayed a wide array of all the stuff people moved down here and decided to dispose of. Seriously, there was a lot of really unique stuff and some that was pretty interesting. We spent about an hour and a half there, and didn't buy anything, but you could spend all day if you were really motivated. It's something worth doing occasionally, but I sure don't have the stamina to go very often.

Met some new neighbors at the Gilchrist Pool this afternoon. Shirley (hubby Dale was not with her) lives on Eastfield across the street from Jim and Mary and down a few lots. Very nice woman and I encouraged her to check us out online. They closed Dec 16th. The other couple live in Fernandina (Barb and Wes). They are trying to get a threat going for Placida Villas.

Gonna be a wonderfully warm week. If you haven't visited our Gilly pool, give it a try. The water was delightful. And it's a great place to meet people.

Lee and Cion, your house is looking great. Kitty, I think I saw that yours had started, as well. There's so much building going on, I can't keep track of who is where. A-4s spreadsheet is great, but I may need an actual map as a visual aid. Anyone up for the challenge?

Rats!

Sorry Gilly Nation

I will post once I return to SoFla later this week.

For the curious, the photos are in my public album in my (very spartan) member profile. Odd thing though, they appear upside down in the album on my iPad but they right themselves when clicked on.

Great news Carol. Any sign of concrete trucks? The last pictures we saw looked like they added more dirt to the lot. We are hoping it will give us an even better view out back.

Thanks for the update Meredith. Do you know who lives in the home next to our lot?
