Holy Yikes! Having been absent from the forum for "a number of days", the official trumpeter to his mayorship and the Lord of Gillyland is amazed at the sheer number of posts made in her absence! How to catch up? Guess I will have to start again from this point forward, though I am so sorry I missed the Great Gilly Caper! Drats! Having been in the area in question many, many times over this past week, I feel certain I could have tracked the culprit down and used my cunning ability to woo the perpetrator to the right side of the tracks!
to all the new posters and owners of Gilly plots, and also to those who are looking! We DO have the best neighbors here
I will try in the days ahead to be more vigilant so as not to fall too far behind!
See many of you tomorrow at EP!

Default Birthday Bash

I wanted to mention we had about 40 or so present for the first Gilly Birthday Bash! It was a successful evening with many donations received for Operation Homebound! A very special THANKS to all who made such wonderful donations and we received some via snail mail as well!
It's a great life in Gillyland, and I hope the trend continues!
Again, thanks for giving of yourselves in order to help someone in need!

Default Bogo2128

I had the pleasure of meeting Bobby & Susie (Bogo2128) this afternoon for a short period of time. They were on a break from design and decided to locate GillyLand City Hall!!

Extremely nice people and they will fit in marvelously with the rest of the Gilly's. Fortunately, they will be not otherwise occupied and will be at the GillyBration at Evan Prairie CC tomorrow night.

This place just keeps getting better and better!

Hopefully YankeeQuilter and ChiefRose will also be there!

Oh yea, Bogo is building a Zinnia too.

Default E-mail from bpane. Please read

My address book, I believe only on my IPad appears to have been hacked! Should you get anything from me with no subject line, please delete. Since I have received e.mails on it, although none of you are listed on this address book, am concerned about where the hacker sends and what is sent!
I apologize ... But have no control!
See some of you tonight.

On the topic of a banking account; is it really necessary to use Citizens? I know they recommend it but both of my other banks, Wells Fargo & Bank of America have a presence. What have those of you that have gone before us done?
We are staying with our bank, Chase, as we have been with them for 32 years. We are using Citizens for house however.

We are leaving on30th. There is snow here in the suburbs of Chicago. Will be glad to leave it.

Today we got a message from Mike's sister who lives in Amelia that said the ABC news team was in our house. They were doing a story on "smart meters." Does anyone know what that is that is causing emails to fly in TV? Just curious.

Default A-4's Place

Excavated for footers and ready for concrete. It's not a roof or granite counters, but for us IT'S EXCITING.
Headed for the Gilly-Bration at EP

Am sure everyone had a wonderful time at the " gilly.bration" tonight. We wish we could have been there, but after an overnight on the Auto Train, we arrived in the frozen northern tundra of Delaware. "Pygmy" duty awaits. Hopefully we will stay busy enough NOT to notice the 1 - 3 inches if white stuff that fell this afternoon and evening.

In the meantime, Gilligans, party well and often. We shall return ASAP.

Signing off before my toes freeze.
