Our photographer extrodinaire, HotRodGirl, sent us some wonderful pics this evening. We are so excited and looking forward to closing on 2/22!

His Worship the Mayor has (we think) decided to launch the Faults, Lapses and Problems Solutions Sub-Committee (FLAPS) again, Chaired by Jimbo2012, with A4 as the Secratary, to see if a solution can be found as to what to do with the 'Spare Spar'.

Readers may remember that they resolved the 'Block' problem by blowing it up, apparantly a very common solution in West Virginia.

This build for A4 is now reaching the volumn of problems found on ChiefRose's and Kitty's builds spotted a few mornings ago after an in depth analysis of the plans by the Pre-dawn Early Risers Committee (PERC's) and now the A4 build will be the subject of the FLAPS committees early focus instead.
I'm not sure that we need to expend the precious financial resources of the Village on an inquiry such as this. If the workmen will simply place the offending spare spar near the trash bin and let our esteemed & talented scavenger in Fernandina know of it's existence, the problem will not be there in the a.m.

I made a couple of trips to A-4's hangar today. I noticed that a crane was on-site at about 7:30 this morning when I saw a truss high in the air (not much gets by me first thing in the a.m.). Went home and got Mom to take a ride over and saw A-4 on duty as usual. The rafters were almost all in place and some of the sheeting was on. After running over to Colony Plaza for Mom's haircut we made another trip to the hangar to find the roof trusses completely on. Took Mom back home and called A-4 about 2:00 to see if he needed some liquid refreshment. Then loaded up a Corona and bottle opener and ran over to the hangar again. Sat in A-4's ride and watched the final bit of tar paper being put on the house. All this time, poor A-4 was sitting in the golf car with his mouth open and shaking his head at the speed of construction.

I think it's safe to say that a good day was had by all!!!!

So what's he going to do when they are all finished? Hmmmmm. Maybe we should start a "story".

FWIW (For what it's worth, for those in Rio Linda), we installed Century Link. Fiber optic service for cable, internet and phone. I think the price is pretty comparable -- maybe $139, but we have been pleased so far. Plenty of choices. Whatever works for you.

Again, the mystery of the "Spare Spar" has been solved. And Jimbo won't get it. I blewed up the dang thing:

It was a great day. And the Corona that the Mayor brought me was greatly appreciated.

Our house was finished about three weeks prior to original closing date. Since we were already here, I asked our rep if we could move up the closing date. He "ran it up the flagpole"' and the date was moved up by about 10 days. Cost us $250, but sooooooo worth it. Found out the time about a week before, if I remember correctly.

That's great congrats! They work quickly. Our house got its COO 13 days before closing. Can't wait, two more days to start our journey

Safe travels and all the best with your closing! Our closing package is scheduled to arrive today kind of weird as we will be signing our papers in the middle of a blizzard up here - but it's all good!! We'll be down in a couple of weeks!
