My husband (Dave) and I (Sue) are working our way to retirement. Dave has a few years left, but I retire in 23 days. We close on our home on Dafoe on April 3 and will begin trying to spend a week or two each month during the next few years. We'll be there for 2 weeks mid May to furnish the place. Since our other 'home' is in Minnesota, we REALLY look forward to meeting our new Gilly friends!

Meredith and Dave, Congrats on pool signing. I cant wait to see your new addition! It is going to be pretty.
Speaking of water, Meredith did you want to do any water exercises at one of the sports pools? Let me know. I am interested in that.

I'm having trouble remembering the names of everyone who told me of their interest so lemme know if you want to be a part of this fiasco...er, neighborhood outing!

Mike Roberts would like to be part of the neighborhood golf. Gayle does not golf but will be a cheerleader!

Perhaps we could be on the sub list -- getting to play when we are in town. My husband and I are working on a master calendar of flying down each month once we get in and get settled!

We do not close until the first week in May- but i am very interested in getting involved in a regular water exercise program. Please let me know what you find and maybe I can join you sometime after we close. Looking forward to meeting you and all the others. Betsy 209.12

Oh how much we wish we were there right now- It is snowing in Charlotte NC today which is really unusual this time of year.

Take some great photos of the "christening" activity - i know that once the Gillyland blessing has been granted- we will really feel like part of the neighborhood.

Looking out my window today, I can't wait to get rid of this horrid wind and sand and get our balmy temps back so I can get back to the pool. When it warms up (and the snowbird/flakes are gone), there's a good water aerobics class at Seabreeze on Tuesdays and Thursdays, usually at 11:00, although the time may change. Will watch the Rec Guide for info. For the time being, I am content to use the Gilchrist Pool to do the same exercises as often as I can get there. Hopefully that will be really often after this stretch of bad weather.

Sorry we'll miss the "christening" today. My beloved Jayhawks are playing basketball at 2:00 and we will gather with our fellow fans at Beef O'Brady's this afternoon. Have fun and stay out of the wind. LOLOLOL.

Didn't think I would be glad not to have moved our wicker for the lanai yet, but with the sand storm, there would be no wicker left! Pillows would be up against the screens! so glad the fire is not close to us. Our empty microwave vent can't stop howling .....
Got to love moving into an empty house! ( and the shutter guy has still not returned a phone call or shown up.... I am a touch .. Upset! So since we are open to the world, look in, not much to see, truck comes in a couple of weeks!
