Sorry our Best Wishes for a wonderful holiday are a bit late. Now that Christmas Day has come and gone, we are hoping everyone had a joyous holiday wherever you are.
Unfortunately, my mother was again admitted to the hospital on the 24th in the middle of the night. Very, very weak.
However, we have had some very joyous moments too. Our son came home from Denver. I knew he was coming home for Xmas, but he surprised me by coming home Thursday for my birthday several days earlier than expected. His room wasn't ready as I have been using it for gifts, Florida packing, etc., but he didn't care. It is great to have him home for a week! Although he is out visiting friends more than he has been home. He just relocated in Septembet so he still has many friends here.
We also had a wonderful dinner with my sister and her family last night. We have an 18 month old grand-niece that is so full of life and wonder, she is just a joy to be with.

Right now the forecast shows 10 to 18" of snow possible starting Wednesday evening through Thursday afternoon.

A4 and Jimbo, wishing you safe travels to TV.
At this point, Rich and I are still planning to fly down for New Years. Have a few contractors lined up a couple days for warranty work and solar tubes installed. Looking forward to meeting those which are there now.

All the best, Rich and Linda

What's your forecast in Va for sat-sat night?
Calc, Jimbo, Lprierleo, A4 and any others traveling down over the next few days, have a safe jouney - you will not need the ski's and snowshoes down here. instead you will have a warm welcome

Dear all,
We met a couple from Gillyland at Carols party who said they wanted to come to the New Year party and the following day, we reserved two places for them BUT, we can't remember your names - sorry.

If you were at Carols last Friday and you spoke to us about coming to the party, could you please PM us with your names and emil address ASAP, to allow us to complete the arrangments

Default Safe travels to all

The wind is whipping here in GA and possible flurries for this PM! I hate the snow, sleet and ice, hence we are to in CT anymore! To all of you traveling, drive safe, take yor time and get to Gillyland safe and sound!

We are starting to think packing and moving as we put away Christmas dishes and glasses ... Cannot wait to get the pix from our rep of the stakes in the ground! Then I think it will be more realistic to me! Have the couch and kitchen set sold, so we are starting!!!

Be safe, be well ... And see you soon!!

We MIGHT be able to leave later this afternoon and drive for a few hours...not really sure. Keeping our fingers crossed...the U-Haul is all packed!

To everyone either traveling to Gillyland or thinking about traveling...please, please, please take your time and be safe.

We want all of our neighbors here safe, sound and in one piece. If the weather is too bad, don't worry...there are plenty of parties to come and we will wait for you!!!!

Speaking of "get togethers".... Both Jill and I have January birthdays. So in the spirit of celebration, I would like to host a January Birthday Bash on Saturday, Jan 19th for all those on our spreadsheet who also were born in that month. Of course ALL are welcome! A very informal dinner will be provided along with drinks and a good time! Please let me know if you plan to attend or if you have a Jan Birthday. Perhaps we could make this a monthly event hosted at different homes?

Date: Jan 19th
Time: anytime after 5PM
Where: 3037 Amherst, Gilchrist
NO presents, please. However, donations will be accepted for Operation Homebound which feeds homebound Villagers here. Details to follow!

Carol and Jill

Bummer! My birthday is 1/22, but won't be in TV until March! Sounds like a great evening! I'll watch for the info on donations. Great idea!
