I think it was about this time last year that I first read His Honor's first post about moving to Gilchrist; since then Jim and I have bought our lot and have a 20 page guidebook printed all from the ideas on this thread for our design meetings. Reading all the posts from the characters in Gilchrist convinced me that this is the neighborhood for me. We'll be back down the week of July 7 for our design meetings and hoping to renew our old acquaintances and meet some of the newer characters that have moved to Gilchrist since our last visit in February. Like CalcTeach keeps saying, "Gilchrist just keeps getting better and better."

Oh no... I can't believe I have to miss a Gillybration please hoist a glass for me and I have to agree with SMills about our assorted cast of characters! At 8 PM I will be having a glass with the whole bunch of you and wishing myself back home all the sooner! Began purging some things and even managed to play 2 hrs of pickleball here this AM! That made me feel ever so much better. Well, excepting the fact my hind side is just a tad bit sore Miss you guys!!!

Bruce and I will finally be able to attend a Gillybration without having to drive an hour and a half...we can crawl three minutes home to gilly 214..we will be there for Thursdays celebration and toast with you all....check out the new Gilchrist monthly party we plan on having in Section 214 that all Gillys and their neighbors and village friends are welcome to attend....I posted it and I promise Barb Evans said to invite even you guys "over yonder"...please come see us tommorrow at 1519 Resthaven Way...

Like many we are sure, every morning that we are away from the bubble, we log on to see what has been happening in the neighbourhood.

Your Lordship The Mayor and Lady Mayoress, as Calcteacher says, Gillyland does indeed owe you a big vote of thanks, if for nothing else, than a place where all the characters that make our neighbourhood the BEST, can expose their super sense of fun and where new friendships can and are forged that will last a lifetime.

Oh no another late night!

At 8pm US time (1am UK time) we will be raising a glass to all our new friends in Gillyland, whether they are there in person or in spirit.

Just sorry we will not be there in the flesh, but we are getting closer as we booked the flight back yesterday for the 4th Septembe.

We hope that for once 'time flies' and we can be back getting up to mischieve with 'the gang'.
