I just got back from dinner with Janice's aunt at Evans Prairie Country Club which is having it's "soft" opening this week. The food was wonderful!!! Afterwards we came back to the house and had a piece of Key Lime Pie that was homemade by yours truly! Wasn't too bad but needed more lime juice. I'll do better next time..lol.

Anyway, Janice's aunt said that we need to do a Christmas party and I totally agree with that sentiment. Anyone up for a Christmas party????

Christmas Party! Oh Boy! You betcha! Count me IN!
Just returned from a very nice dinner with Carm310, her hubby Frank, and Schaumburger, and Jillybean! We had a wonderful time, and it appears we all may be there in March. So party at my place! Now I know why we got dubbed the party neighborhood! Yep, life is good

Home Ec majors do a good job, but I'm looking forward to a piece of that World Famous Key Lime Pie that the Mayor makes

Well shoot! With all the December closings I was hoping that we'd have a huge gathering. Looks like those of us that will be here will have to establish the Gilly Party Tradition!! For those who won't be here don't worry. I have a feeling that the party spirit will continue indefinitely. When you do get here be prepared to parteeeee!!!!

Last night at dinner, Janice's aunt suggested that we also have a block party. Based on where my house is, we could block off Bradshaw at the intersection of Eastfield and at the other end and only affect my house and one other that's not even started. She assured me that nobody would complain. Bring out lawn chairs, drinks and some food.

Hurricane Susie must be messing with out weather this morning...it's a chilly 61 degrees outside with a nice breeze blowing!

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend.

Yes, Hurricane Sandy will be wreaking havoc here before too long. Mike Seidel of the Weather channel is reporting from our beach right now. We are under mandatory evacuation by 4 PM today as we are only a block to the beach and very anxious about the entire scenario. People ask me how can I stand to leave the beach to move inland to TV - I guess my answer can now be - Sandy! This is the price we pay for living here. Safety is our primary concern - so we are going to stay with my mom who is 30 miles inland.
Just hoping that we don't sustain any or too much damage as we are scheduled for our TV design appt in 18 days! Let's hope for the best! And for everyone who is being affected by Sandy, please stay safe!

Hey Mayor -
So if you block off YOUR streets for your block party , if the rest of US want to crash the party will there be "Event Security" guards that we're going to have to find a way to get around?

Just saw the weather forecast for West Virginia. You headed back up later this week to do some snow skiing??

Hey! Anyone in the pre-design meeting phase: here's some food for thought. I was literally sick about having to give up a gas stovetop and go to electric. Did some research and am now totally sold on induction. TV doesn't offer it YET...but if you are so inclined to look into it, please know that it requires a 60amp plug!
