Default New Villagers in Pennecamp

My husband, Jack, and I just learned about TV a year ago after living in Pensacola for 30 years. Friends who bought in Piedmont and who still live parttime in Ohio begged us to come down and we did on our way to a cruise just to satisfy them. The rest is history as we bought a lot, went home, put our house up with a new realtor and within 5 weeks it sold! (We had been trying to sell for over 3 years to move to NC with no success.) We moved down in June to a patio villa while our house was being built and have now been in our Natchez a little over 2 months. Loving it and anxious to meet new friends.

Welcome! My husband and I are currently building in Gilchrist (close on 12-12-12). We have been warmly welcomed by TOTV and I'm sure you will too! Enjoy your piece of paradise!

Welcome Welcome Nanny & Jack!! We also live in Pennecamp. We bought our CYV almost three years ago and love being in The Villages. Although we split our time between TV and Connecticut, we spend more and more time in The Villages every year. This year we will be there 7 months, next year even more. My wife and I have joined a few clubs, taken up golf and enjoy the game, and most importantly, met some wonderful new friends. We are relaxed and more active which will do wonders to our health. This was the best decision we have ever made to purchase a home here and enjoy all that the Villages has to offer.

Welcome to Pennecamp. We moved in last October and love the location, close enough to the squares and shopping and far enough from the traffic. We also have a Natchez so I am thinking you are probably on our street or real close by. So far we have loved every minute here, I am sure you will also.

I lived in Pensacola from 1977 to 1982 and have thought that if it wasn't for TV I would of probably retired to Pensacola. I haven't been back to visit since 1997 right after the hurricane tore up the beach area. When I lived there the nearest civic center was Mobile or Gulfport, we only had that auditorium down on the Pier. I lived off Scenic Hwy south of Summit in a new subdivision at the time, it was nice but didn't have enough golf courses as I remember, but Pensacola beach was great.

Yes Pensacola is beautiful - we lived in Marcus Pointe which was a golf community but we haven't golfed for probably 20 years. Work got in the way and there just weren't enough hours in the day. We hope to take it up again in the new year.

We rented a patio villa in Apalachee while we waited for our Pennecamp house to be built - drove down Triggerfish every day to check on the progress.

I had never heard of Marcus Pointe, but then again I left in 1982. I just looked it up and realized it was probably a half a mile from my first home there. I lived on Somerset Drive which is off Michigan. It was right across Crescent Lake, brand new home I purchased in 1977 for $44,000. Sold it a year later for $49,000 and moved over to the Scenic Heights area since I worked at the airport.
