Default Seco

Hello Everybody,
I'm planning on SECO debiting my checking account monthly for the electric bill. There should not be a fee charged for this transaction? Did I understand this correctly? Can someone help me out on this! I want to be there in TV but here in VA. Thanks!

SECO automatically debits my account and I've had no problems. Also get my bill via e-mail instead of a paper bill. I can access my account online to see my current bill and also view past bills. Takes less paper on their end and less paper received on my end.

First of all............welcome to TOTV!!!!

SECO calls that their "Bank Draft" program. As others have said, no fees associated with paying that way. We signed up for it online last winter and it works as described.

Here's info on the various ways to pay your bill with SECO:

We opened an account at Citizens Bank (while living far, far away). Citizens arranged to have all our bills automatically debited to our chequing account .... SECO, TECO, Amenities, Comcast, Etc.

They will even send a cheque to the guy who cuts your lawn or to your housewatch company. Easy Peasy.

SECO autopay - no problem. In fact, paying through your bank is not a problem for most. What you may be confused with is that one place, and I think is was the VCCDD-LSSA where you pay water, trash, garbage and amenities all on one bill, was charging a fee (I believe $2 per month) if you had THEM debit your account automatically for a bill payment. Avoid that stupid fee the way most do here - have your bank pay your bill but don't let LSSA bill your bank - make them bill you as per normal.
