Welcome to TV. I see you're from Sudbury MA. We're from Attleboror, MA and moved here last Sept. You'll love it. To answer your question we have a pkg from Comcast and last weekend our box blew out in storm and we lost phone but kept TV and internet. Called for service Monday AM (that's when we realized phone wasn't working) and they were here Tues AM and replaced box, no charge. Our neighbors lost their phone a couple of weeks ago with Century Link and they waited 6 days for service. No Verizon here as far as I know.

Cell phone is a pay as you go with Virgin Mobile (works off Sprint network). Only use it for emergencies and we load a $90 card once a year. Unused minutes carry over but it must be renewed once a year. Great coverage, no dropped calls.

I just switched from DISH to DirectTV - bundled the tv,internet and phone - Had Dish @67.00/mo, Verizon Air Card - $60.00/mo and then the phone at $33.00/mo. Because I bundled, and selected auto pay my bill is $84.00 a month + tax of course. My cell is AT&T but am thinking about going with either Boost or StraightTalk when my contract is up in January. My daughter has Boost and has had it for several years and loves it - all the texting, phone calls, internet, etc. (everything unlimited) for $50.00 a month and, after six months if you pay your bill on time always, they reduce the bill by $5.00 and this can go until your bill hits $35.00/month. Hope this helps.

I just closed in my house last week and signed up with Comcast.
I had heard a lot of negative about Comcast but they had a bundle packages of TV, internet and phone for $99 a month for a year. With tax, it comes to $114 a month. I am gong to try it out and see what happens. Since I will have renters there, I feel better about having a company to call that should in theory come out to take care of any problems. |

We just went through this experience since we closed on our CYV on July 5th and moved in the same day. We just got hooked up to the internet, this is my first post and actually first time online since June 26th, also first time using a laptop.
In Maryland we had Verizon home phone, internet, cellphone and Directv. We wanted to keep our cellphone the same since we had the Senior plan for only $30 per month and keep the same phone number. We had Century Link install our home phone and internet last Wednesday. Since I bought a new computer yesterday I've been online today getting a new email established and checking out the system. Internet is $19.95 a month for 1.5 speed and homephone is $39.95 a month for unlimited long distance, caller ID and call waiting. I wanted just a basic phone like I had in Maryland for $21 a month but then the internet would of cost more. I have Directv coming next week, were still waiting on our TV's and Directv boxes to arrive since Mayflower is over a week late. Century Link said I'll get $5 off my Directv bill and eventually later this year we'll be able to pay Directv bundled with the two Century Link phones. |
