Question TV reception advice wanted

Hi y'all....we are soon to be Hadley Village....I don't want to pay for cable until we move there full time. I bought the digital converters....hope I can pick up some signals with rabbit ears and no cable. What has been your experience so far with TV with no cable? We will be there in our new house next month for 3 weeks....am so looking forward to it.

comcast has a very basic cable for $13/month, not bad. Has about 20 channels including the major broadcasters, WGN, but not ESPN, CNBC or those guys. However, for part -timers, it suits our needs. Rabbit ears didn't work.

We have found rabbit ears give very poor reception in the Villages. However we hooked up a digital converter and the reception improves to the point that we got good reception for NBC, ABC,CBS,and FOX. We are also not here full time yet; so we haven't had cable or satilite installed yet. Besides I find that with all the things to do in the Villages that I watch a lot less TV.

Hi all, We just registered today. Our house goes up for sale in April, wish us luck. From reading this and other posts, it sounds as if not one person in TV has an outdoor antenna. Maybe no one will admit that they do because of the no antenna rule. Fortunately there's a law against prohibiting antennas and there's an antenna that looks like a small dish 22”, picks up signals up to 60 miles in all directions. We hope to continue this method in TV (hopefully soon) . Is there anyone out there with an antenna?
