I live on Clifford Ct and it is 15 - 20 minutes to both LSL and Brownwood by cart. My cart tops out at 22 mph.

The GPS is not accurate on time. It takes about half the time to get to your location.
Live in Sanibel and about 15 or 20 minute ride to SL and BW. Not a bad ride at all.

No one in TV drives their golf card at 19 MPH.

Another thing to consider: after you have lived here a while, you go to the squares less often. Our most common trip by golf cart is the supermarket. I go 3 or 4 times a week. Good idea to keep that trip under 10 minutes. If you have a gas cart, you will be making occasional trips to the gas station. These are not ubiquitoi in TV. Especially, if you use rec vehicle gas.

Pay the few bucks for the Villages GPS app but deduct 1/3rd of the travel time. Plus, if there are any glitches email the owner and they get corrected immediately.

If you use Google maps and select bike it directs you on the golf cart paths. That’s what I use because I have had issues with TV GPS.

We live in Duval and consider it to be the perfect location. About 12 minutes to LSL, 18 minutes to Brownwood and a little more than 20 minutes to Spanish Springs. I usually estimate a little more than 3 minutes per mile in a golf cart at about 20 MPH.

Default Villages app accuracy

I like the free Villsgrs app. It gives a more accurate time travel estimate. The paid Villages GPS app quotes longer travel times but I like the map and location finder better. I use one for time and the other for actual directions

Personal experience: Fish Hawk Rec Center on Buttonwood is 5 miles from LS Landing and 6 miles to Brownwood. 20 to 30 min by bicycle.

We want to be "golf cart close" to one (or both) of these town squares, but The Villages GPS is giving what seems to be outrageously long golf cart times from the neighborhoods to the squares. For example, last month we were able to take a golf cart ride from Clifford Ct. to Lake Sumter Landing in about 25 minutes, yet Villages GPS is now saying that is a 39-minute trip. The cart was a rental and maxed out at 12 MPH. I don't understand! Is Villages GPS accurate?

Follow-up question. For anyone living in a centrally located neighborhood such as Duval, how long does it take you to drive your golf cart to Lake Sumter or to Brownwood Paddock? Would they both be comfortable rides from Duval? I really appreciate any advice you can offer!!
We live in the Village of Summerhill, north of 466. We are about 15 - 20 minutes from Spanish Springs and Sumter Landing by golf cart. About 35 - 45 minutes from Brownwood.

I wouldn't say no one, but I'd say "most" would be a reasonable guess. Mine won't go above 20.4, and only when I'm on a road that's curving (inertia maybe? No idea, not a physicist). Normally I'm at 19.6-19.9.

Rental carts at the Villages Golf Cars are set under 18, so most renters will be under that.

I know a few people who have their governors adjusted (or whatever the term is) and can go faster. But most, do not.
