Default Wellpoint update

Does anyone know if Wellpoint will have cottage homes with a fence? I know this isn't normal but someone sent me a video and it looks like a cottage home w a fence.

I believe Goldwingnut said cottage homes with fences are planned in WellPoint. Don is seldom wrong because he researches thoroughly before stating information on his videos. I think I read a post recently in which someone stated they are on the list for cottage homes in Well Point. If you are interested, you need to contact a sales rep NOW. There are some preowned cottage homes with fences if you want to go that route. They are called Cottage Villa Series.

Be careful! Some of the homes built in Well Point will be adjacent to the prison. The land is owned by the Federal government. They can do whatever they wish to their property. What you see now may not be the same in the future.

Well Point does not back up to the prison. It’s on the other side of Marsh Ben Trail. I seriously doubt the US government is going to anything different with this property.

Will you people drop the prison issue. For those of us who live down here, IT IS NOT AN ISSUE

You highly doubt but so did MANY OTHERS who bought a home adjacent to non Villager property. Now, their views are apartments, expanded electrical plant etc. Learn from history..

Those Cottage Villas are over a mile from the facilities buildings.

There's a concrete wall the length of Marshbend Trail.

The Facility employe over 1,300 people including many former first responders, military and law enforcement personal who circulate through the area during shift changes.

Newcomers should be aware what is located in that area. Ignoring what others have to say is foolish. Gather information from EVERYONE, do your own research, in the end choose what is best for you. For some, the prison is not a concern. For others it is!

My point was be careful buying near nonvillages properties. I have been here 20+ years and have witnessed the unexpected. Simply because a few posters say "it will never happen on the prison land" doesn't make it so, does it? Anything is possible. Like I said, I've seen it happen more times than I can count.

So really a prison or just making a point?

Coleman Federal Prison is, according to Altavia, who posted on this thread, over one mile from the Village of Wellpoint. Look at the picture that was included in the post. If that doesn't concern you, sorry for bringing it up. Some buyers do not wish to be near it. As you may have noticed, merely mentioning the prison gets some who live in that area upset. The prison is not a concern to them and they love the home they chose. Do your own research and find what is best for you.

I would not buy near a prison because I always think of resale value. IMO, the prison chases many buyers away. There are many homes in the Villages NOT NEAR the prison. Easy to find one since all the homes are cookie cutter models.

Cottage homes with fences is NOT UNIQUE to Wellpoint Many have been built in the new areas. If you find Wellpoint is not for you, ask your sales rep if others are planned.

This whole take is ridiculous. When you read the local police reports and people are found with fentanyl, or crack or heroin it's people in the "historic" aka mobile home park area of the Villages 90% of the time.

There's no part of the Villages that is close enough to even know the prison exists. Most of us here in the south aren't worried about resale value anyways since we love it here.

Odd how the mention of the prison gets so many upset. We are renting a small, older courtyard villa near Lopez. Some have commented they would NEVER live in an older home. To each their own. No area is perfect. There is no reason to get upset when someone mentions an eyesore in your neck of the woods. Obviously, you saw it when you bought. Be happy and confident with your decision.

People should come on down in their golf cart or bike and ride around and see for them selves. Take a ride down McNeill to Bexley trail past Eastport and on to Middleton with it's new schools and large commercial area.

It's mind boggling what two billion dollars a year and 15,000 employees can do.

We're watching two new roofs a day appear in Wellpoint. Several homes are nearing completion.

I’m not sure about the future but when I was looking 3 years ago they had cottage homes with fences and there was a letter by the model name. For example Hidden Cove-C I preferred the Courtyard Villa layout and went that direction.

Until I visit in person, I will not know if the prison is an issue. My first thought is negative I do admit. Finding cottage homes like Anchor and seabreeze with a fence, new build is hard to find.

Good luck even finding where you can see it ;-)
