The movers are here and I was feeling down about leaving our home and family up north. I decided that I needed a pick-me-up and got on the "talk". Thanks everyone....just reading all the posts has gotten me all excited again for the Villages. I don't know what I was thinking. Everything that you all said, matches our experiences in the Villages. Words just don't give it justice, believe me. All this work will have a wonderful payoff in just three days. It has taken us two different beautiful times on a lifestyle program (2007, 2008) one month in a rental (when we bought..June 2009) a long waiting year of work and now the Villages. We will meet in the town squares and have a beer and celebrate a new beginning. Come join us one and all. Christmas in July. I have been reading posts for sometime now and I truly look forward to meeting you all.

Do we need reservations for Katie Belle's? If so, can we make them or does the agent need to do that?

We are going to be there Wednesday through Sunday morning. I assume that we can look at the model homes anytime but what about open houses? Are those only on Sunday afternoons?

You can only look at model homes accompanied by a Villages rep. This was a huge surprise to me, because I was used to model homes being open for people to go through. Open houses are every day...several homes are open in the morning and several other homes are open in the afternoon. They aren't decorated models that have open houses, they are spec homes available for sale or resales.

There are plenty of open houses each day, enough to occupy a morning or afternoon, or both...

Remember as much as you enjoy a preview visit, there is icing on the cake that you were not able to experience. I'm talking about classes, clubs, teams and probably a few other things that would appeal to you.
