Unhappy Woe are we

Just returned from walking at the national seashore here on Perdido Key. We are so depressed that tar balls are starting to appear here on our greatest asset, the sugar white beaches. And we are feeling sorry for ourselves as our house is on the market (with St Joseph in the yard) and now an oil spill. Sometimes feel we will never make it to TV. I know there are others struggling to get their houses sold, but guess I need a "hug" from the great members of TOV.

Shalyjo,
I feel so bad for all the residents and animals that are being affected by the oil spill. We lived in Pensacola and my parents still do, it is just heart breaking to see the damage to the beautiful beaches and wildlife.

Hugs,
Halle

The Villages Florida I'm so sorry that the beaches are impacted. This entire event is beyond belief.

Keep saying your daily prayers to St. Joseph....he really can get the job done. Helped me sell my house, Mom in law, two houses.

Sending lots of hugs, as I feel your pain too. We are few miles east of P'cola and I am just sick over what is happening to this area because of the oil spill. It is so sad. These are some of the most beautiful beaches in the world, IMHO.

Our home is not on the market yet but lately we've been discussing the impact all this will probably ultimately have on the housing market here. We may have to take a bigger hit than we first thought when the time comes for us to sell and move to TV. Time will tell, I guess. Good luck. Keep us posted.

Hugs to all of you seeing the tar balls. It is a sad situation for man and beast. I hope they figure some way to stop it soon.

My heart aches for all of the damage this is doing. I hadn't thought about it damaging the housing market. I am so sorry.

I am sending you a big hug. I just bought a statue of St. Joseph for our yard in TV, we want him to keep an eye on it when we can't be there. My mom, who recently passed, was named Josephine and the statue is in her honor. I'll put in an extra prayer tonight to St. Joseph for you and also have a little "chat" with mom to see if she can put in a good word for you.

I'd like to give you a very big hug too. Every night I pray that a permanent solution will be found soon to stop the oil flow in the gulf. This spill is so Catastrophic in scope. Seeing the impact on the wildlife and on the people who live and work there is such an emotional thing that affects me deeply. I feel for you and your dilemma will say a prayer that things get better for you very soon.

Another hug and hoping you sell your home. This is beyond sad for everyone, every creature, the beautiful land and sea. We need a miracle.

I am so sori u r seeing those tar balls coming up on the beach. BP says they will pay for all expenses related to the spill, but I wonder how that is going to help all those pelicans that are covered with oil. I get sick everytime I see the birds on the TV. BP should be shot for cutting corners on construction of the platform to save money. I hope they go under as a word of warning to the other companies doing business in our oceans around the world.

So you are saying you hope they go under? Then who will pick up the tab?
I bet I can guess the answer to that.

Darrell, does it seem to you from the news stories, that the fed seems to be using the wrong sources for expertise. To me it would be logical to tap the crews on other deep rigs, not oil company execs.

You are all so kind - can hardly wait to come to TV & meet you. From what we are seeing here, the clean-up response seems slow and playing catch up. Wind predictions for this weekend will bring more oil toward our shores. It is so frustrating and very sad. We are praying for a miracle that stems the flow & catches what's already out there!

Gentle hugs and best wishes that your homes sells. There are no words that can console any of us for the harm done by this oil spill.
