Default A ? abt. picture posting

I am thinking about trying to post a picture at some point in case anybody wants to click on it to see who I am.

I just tried to read the thread about this that is under the technology section and I am lost.

Am I missing any other links that might be on here somewhere?

It won't be one of those little pictures by my name I don't think. An avitar? (sp.?) or whatever they are called. It will just be a picture picture, but I want to be able to remove it if I should grow weary of it. - you might grow weary, too.

So while I am only in the stage where I have sent this to committee, I might end up actually doing it.

Any help is appreciated. Mr. Boomer will help me, too, and he actually reads directions.

Boomer

Just a thought Boomer, but I hope you post your pic as an avatar. Just adding it to a one-time post will be so hit or miss for seeing you. You can change your avatar anytime you want and it is actually easier than the way you are suggesting.

Here try this. Click next to your name above, where it says User CP.

Now go over to the left hand column, go down, choose Forum profile

Now go to the right you will see two circles, click I will upload my own picture

Now under that choose Browse

Find the picture you want to use in your computer picture files. click open and it will take you back to where you were.

Go down to the bottom of the page and click Change Profile

Now go up and click on Forum at the top of the page and find your latest post to see if it worked.

Oh before you do any of this make sure that you resize your picture to where the largest pixel number is 500. That should do it.

;DS.

Jan has his cycle pic in all his posts - so it must be possible to do the same.

You all are so great. You always help.

I will work on this. It might take awhile.

It probably does need to be a bigger picture at first and then I will see if it will work as an avatar. Not sure.

I had been thinking about using that "Peanuts" picture of Lucy where she is in a little booth and it says on the sign, "Advice 5 Cents" or something like that. I used to actually have that hanging by my desk at work. But I really like Muncle's Charlie Brown picture, and I did not want him to think that I might start trying to boss him around or something. I would never do that.

I just loved the character "Lucy" - both of them. And actually both of the famous "Lucy" characters have personality traits in common with me. Sometimes Mr. Boomer calls me Lucy.

But I think I am just going to go ahead and post a picture of who I really am.

And Chuck, Iggy was so much one of my favorites that even though you clarified to me that you are you, I still keep thinking of you as Iggy.

I think I need to go back to work or at least go outside and play. But here I am, getting ready to run with scissors.

So thank you all, and if there is any other advice out there that will help, I welcome it.

Boomer

OK I have at least got the picture now. I will eventually figure out how to get it there.

Simply go to your personal profile page and in the signature box, paste the url address of the picture just like you would if you were posting the pic in the text of the message.
