Right-e-o...actually, this has been a very well considered discussion that has avoided obvious political advocation. IMHO, everyone who has contributed to the thread should be applauded.

I'm surprised it all got posted.

Awhile back, I only mentioned , once, where a "mother" lived in the winter time and got a warning from administration. I never thought that was "P". I had never ever been to the "P" site, never ever read any postings on it and certainly never contributed to it. I still think my warning or whatever should be deleted.

As far as HISTORY goes, Iran, once known as Persia, was considered the cradle of civilization. I notice he always tries to stress this, being proud of his smallish country's roots, while feeling dumped on by the rest of the world.

No matter when I've seen Ahmadinejad speak, he always seems slightly psychotic to me, but hides it well......just a gut feeling on my part.

"Persia" is the Greek name of Pars, a province of modern day Iran. Meanwhile, the name Iran (==Land of the Aryans) is derived from the Aryan people, who first moved from Central Asia, and settled in what is now Iran, some 30,000 years ago.

The first human civilization - - The Persian Civilization (==Eilam); It was ahead of Egypt by 500 years, of India, by 1,000 years, and of China, by 2,000 years, of Greece by 3,000 years, and of Rome, by 4,000 years! According to Professor Arthur A. Pope, the famous Orientalist (A.H. Saidian, Iran: Land and the people, Tehran 2001 P. 358).

Returning them to those pre-Egypt days via atomic strike may be in their future if they keep up the threats.

Just wondering why so many responded to the OP that to me was obviously sarcastic. How could anyone agree with a speech that said the United States is in service to the Devil and that he wants to discover the real truth behind the 9/11 attacks on us. The speech was just another incoherent and paranoid rambling by a vicious anti-semite.

I think perhaps people didn't want to get in trouble and tried to keep it light so the thread wouldn't get deleted. It was a fine line to be walked so points were made in a more subtle way.
