Red face Any work for a massage therapist??

Hi my husband and I are relocating to The Villages within the next year. I presently have my own practice as a massage therapist. I am just over 40yrs of age, and wish to continue practicing for awhile. Does anyone out there know if there is a demand? and what the going rate is for a one hour massage? I will probably plan to do home visits at first. Thanks for reading. Jillian

Arrow Oh Boy!

whassup... You obviously are not familiar with Handie and Fumar! You're leaving yourself wide open for their comments!

On a serious note, I think that would be well received here in The Villages. I don't know the going rates, but I do know there are a lot of bone weary golfers, both men and women! Good luck and c'mon down!

Default massages

i get a massage 2-3 times a month, my therapist comes to my house, rates run from45-50 per hour, both myself and my husband do this for ourselves, it really does help with body aches and pains, or just pure pleasure to have one., and yes there is a demand for this.

t fields brings up a good point for you to remember. I believe that TV regulations would not allow the business out of your house. You can do the home visits as you suggest. I think this is the way that many other professionals (hair stylists etc.) do their business in TV.

Thanks for the info. everyone. I have many clients at present who are golfers. I will definitely not be doing in massage in my home- if I do plan to open an office it will probably be just outside of TV. Thanks again. Jillian

Default There is a full service day spa and salon....

located on Canal Street in Lake Sumter Landing.
Their entire second floor is dedicated to massage therapy, whirl pool therapy, couples massage rooms, feel good massage, deep tissue massage, relaxation rooms.

Once one goes upstairs you are in a very serene relaxation oriented....very private....very professional environment.

They have complimentary beverages including wine with all their services. One can have lunch provided from different suppliers near by.

They do private parties and packages for special events.

They also offer performance enhancing as well as insurance provider services.

I know all too well as my wife is a regular there.

Check it out if you haven't tried it or want to treat yourself. I like being able to get my wife gift packages that make my shopping easier.
