Default Should look at the iPad too...

I know you're probably set on the Nook or Kindle, but you should stop by your local Best Buy or Apple Store and just take a look at the iPad. Although more expensive, you get a lot more than just a book reader.

The iPad does not use E-Ink, but that isn't a problem for me. There are some advantages to a backlit screen, like reading in low lighting. Plus, there are free apps you can download (B&N Reader and Kindle Reader) that allow you to download books from those stores, as well.

Just another option...

Grandson has an IPod, and he agrees with you. However, being a woman, an e-reader is smaller, lighter and fits in my purse. A dedicated reader has its advantages.
