Unfortunately, there are many famous people who get away with murder, both here and abroad. Remains to be seen what will happen.

Doubt if his claim about his shooting a prowler in his high crime neighborhood will work because of the previous domestic abuse calls from that home. http://www.law24.com/index.php?optio...eb/h6mfb/ig1rb

South Africa does not have trial by juries in criminal cases. It is a judge and two lay assessors for serious crimes. http://www.citizen.co.za/citizen/con...r-your-verdict

It sounds like he planned the murder of his girlfriend from the news accounts. And from what I can tell about South African criminal law it is a lot harder there for a defense lawyer to just spin a yarn like in the US. There's no jury just the judge and two assessors who are lay people. Not sure if these are on a lot of cases or not.

Dead Dead Girl.

One shot in the head, chest, hand and pelvic area.

Sorry, I am not buying his story. It's a good thing for him I'm not the judge.

Automatic, semi-automatic pistol? Would like to know more about the floor plans too like how big a window the bathroom had if any, etc.

Yes, and if your house is being broken into, the first thing that you are going to do is call 911 and pray for a man with a gun to show up.

No defense in what he did. Four shoots though a door. No self-defense as he was behind a locked door and she did not try to break it down. It is murder, plain and simple.

Now go call 911, better known as Government Dial A Prayer and stop being afrid of an object. You have a better chance of being run over by a bad driver, here in the Villages, that you do getting shot.

I sure this article doesn't turn out to be the dicrediting of the police's version of what happened, as I would hate to see Oscar Pistorius get off due to a technicality.

I personally think he is guilty as charged. This poor woman didn't have a chance.

Sounds like his defense team is off and running with discrediting the lead investigator.

Let's hope there will not be Van der Sloot connections in the judicial system that will allow this guy to skate.
