Blockbuster.com had been down all weekend it seems
Blockbuster.com had seemed to be down all weekend. Kind of irritating when you cannot update your queue because the website is unavailable "while we make some changes to the site".
Wonder if Netflix does this a lot too?? |

Re: Blockbuster.com had been down all weekend it seems
I had been subscribing to Netflix since we moved to Villages --Nov 1, 2007. I pay around $18.00 a month for subscription and this allows me to have 3 movies out at a time. Since then, their web page has always been "up." I have been very satisfied with them. I mail a movie back one day--they get it the next and send another out that day. Has really worked for me.

Re: Blockbuster.com had been down all weekend it seems
Another vote for Netflix. I've had an account with them for at least five years (probably longer) and have never had a problem. Not once has Netflix been down when I've perused it. I've always gotten my new movies within 2 days of returning the old. Plus I've downloaded some movies and watched them on my PC.
I know there is a certain convenience to being able to run down to Blockbuster's but, to me, that was far outweighed by Blockbuster's demanding directors have self-imposed censorship so that Blockbuster's would be willing to rent their movies on CD. Censorship in any form is truly wrong to me -- I'd like to think people are able to make their own decisions on what to watch and read. So, would definitely recommend Netflix -- three movies out a time but unlimited as to number of movies rented in one month, great library of old and new movies, very good customer service.

Re: Blockbuster.com had been down all weekend it seems
I use blockbuster.com and I was able to update my queue several times this past weekend. I also rated three movies and reviewed a few that I was curious about.

Re: Blockbuster.com had been down all weekend it seems
I remember using it Sunday night because I was watching a DVD and wanted to know who a couple of the actors were. I also used it to reorder my queue since I put two DVDS in the mail on Sunday morning.

Another NetFlix user who has never had an instance where the site was down. NetFlix has worked very well for me.

Re: Blockbuster.com had been down all weekend it seems
Blockbuster.com is back up now. I just like the Total Access plan where you can exchange movies you get in the mail for movies at the nearest Blockbuster store. Just wish that they had a Blockbuster closer to Southern Trace Shopping area. (CR466)
