Yes, in general, money and power seems to be drifting away from the working class. That leaves the majority of people dissatisfied with their situation and lives. Out of those millions of unhappy people, it is NOT too surprising that some individuals begin to HATE enough to LASH OUT violently at a significant figurehead of the money and power - like a CEO of UNH.

I would give that rationalization up if I were you. Do you realize how many total frustrating situations, financial, work, health and so forth, most of us have faced in our lives that we have hated? So we are entitled to "LASH OUT" and kill anyone we feel may have put that situation on our plate? I think it's time to reinstate the death penalty so we may put these spoiled individuals who feel they are entitled to "LASH OUT" to rest. BTW, it's UHC, not the acronym you used.

Murder must never be condoned. It hard to imagine a book about heinous insurance practices could push any remotely reasonable person to murder. At the same time, denial or delay (a tacit form of denial) for profit might be seen as a form of murder as well.
