If you are talking about a top cut hot dog bun, King's Hawaiian buns are cut that way and sold at Publix.

nope ya just can't get any of the really good stuff that we grew up with in New England down here in the super market (New Yorkers feel the same way)...look as much as you like, but you're not going to find a top sliced hot dog bun down here... but they do have a few cans of B&M baked beans (on the very top shelf) and B&M Brown Bread... There is no good Chinese food down here...nor do they know how to make a great pizza Lots of folks go 'ga ga' over the stuff they serve down here because they've 'sold out' and don't want to cook anymore...those shops wouldn't last a month in New England

I have found top-split hot dog rolls (Arnold and/or Pepperidge Farm) in local markets (Publix and/or Winn Dixie). They don't always have them, especially now, I would imagine. Look carefully.

There is nothing good for you about a hot dog except the taste, and plenty to harm you. Brats are the way to go.

What is a “sleeve”? A casing? I might think brats are more mid west than New England. As far as the roll goes, who wants a roll where the hotdog or toppings can roll out?? New England rolls stand up straight and proud! 🇺🇸 ( plus I think there’s less bread in a N.E. Roll)

If I have to choose between brats and hot dogs, it would be skinless hot dogs every time. I can't stand the casing on brats. My favorite option I've found down here is the Bar S Polish sausages. They are large like a brat, but have no skin on the outside. Taste delicious - better than either a hot dog or brat.

I've only found them at the Sav A Lot and Sam's Club, and they come in a pack of 14. There is a Polish Sausage, and a Smoked Polish Sausage. I like the smoked better.
