Default Buc-ee's in Daytona Beach

Has anyone ever drove out to Buc-ee's for a visit on a day trip?

There are much closer gas stations.

Absolutely, thereโ€™s no place like Buc-eeโ€™s!

It's good, but no better than Artman's and Summerfield is a lot closer.

Of course, Artman's is at least 500 yards away from the nearest gas station.

Yes, First we went to DeLeon State Park for Breakfast at the Sugar Mill and then took the boat ride. Next we went to Bucees. Then to the Barberville Yard Art Emporium. And then the Mason Jar in Umatilla. It was a fun day.

PS You might want to wait till the Bucees opens in Ocala.

Yes, great food, but they provide no tables or any other area to eat it. At least that's our observation. Eat in your car.

I think they want turnover in customers , not people taking up sales space with tables and those taking a break this a very savvy company.

Makes sense unlike McDonalds where people like to setup an all day office.

Iโ€™d rather chew on glass than enter a Buc-eeโ€™s

Ah Bucee's. I was so impressed with the number of toilets and urinals in the men's restroom. I think 14 and 14?

TESLA at Bucee's: Visiting a friend about 1.5 hours south of Daytona we decided to take a road trip to about 1 hour north of Daytona. Insisted on taking his Tesla.
Have a full charge David?
ans: No, but plenty for the round trip.
Just south of Daytona decides he doesn't have enough for the round trip, so checks his big screen TV with eyes off-the-road, and sees a charging stall open at Bucee's.
We pull into Bucee's and there is a short line for one of about a dozen charging stalls.
Less than 10 minutes wait as we all waited in the car.
OK (noticed one humongous SUV [Super Ugly Vehicle], a Rivian) taking two stalls because his charge port was on the wrong side. I digress.
We all go inside and do our things; sniffing the brisket, and looking at all the carb snacks and sugar treats for sale.
Then David soon announces finished; let's go.
We get back to the Tesla and he tells me it only gave him a 20% increase in charge because people were waiting.
Really ? !:
We had to stop again on the way back because he was sweating the range.
Funny and fun, eye-opening day for me.

I could also tell you about the phantom braking on the I-95. krappe

Buc-eeโ€™s was a.true once-in-a-lifetime event, and not because of no EV charging ( thatโ€™s changing thank heavens) but because of sensory, people, and traffic overload.
Glad we went to see what all the fuss was about, but disappointed there was nothing worth eating and very disappointed no one would give an almost-80 guy a small cup of water to take his medicine.
