Bought from Village Cart Max on Rolling Acres Rd, got refurbished 2022 Yamaha gas. Looked at the new lithium's but liked the ride in the gas Yamaha. David was the salesman he was very helpful and not a pest to buy from. They are a smaller family business, the owner delivers the carts. Felt better buying my first with warranty rather then from the public. I believe they offer a good price for the quality I got. 6 months in and running great.

The most important thing is to get an Electric Golf cart. They are more reliable and the batteries make the golf cart have a lower center of gravity, which is important when making quick turns to avoid an accident. Also, no need to go to a gas station for fuel.

I bought a Yamaha Lithium Golf Cart from Country Village Power Equipment in Webster, Florida and am very happy with all aspects of this purchase. It is the exact same Yamaha cart (with independent rear suspension) as the gasoline powered Yamaha carts, except it is powered by a lithium battery. The Villages Cart stores do not even sell the Yamaha lithium carts - probably because they don't want them to compete with their gas powered Yamaha carts. By buying from Country Village Power Equipment you will save thousands of dollars. Drive 30 miles, save thousands and still get home service whenever you need it. All of my golf buddies who have Yamaha gas-powered carts are blown away once they ride in my lithium Yamaha cart - they love it!. It has super fast acceleration, does not slow down going up hills, is smooth, quiet, does not stink and has all the range I'd ever need in one day. I live near Bonifay Country Club and have taken this cart north to play golf at Nancy Lopez and returned with plenty of battery power left. I've also done the same to play newer courses in the south like Southern Oaks and Shallow Creek. What's there not to like? You get all the range you need for one day, Yamaha quality, smooth ride and can enjoy peace and quiet as you silently cruise along The Villages' cart paths and fairways.

I recommend you get seatbelts & if you get a gas cart, I recommend you get a gas gauge on the dashboard otherwise you will need to pull the seat up to see how much gas you have.

We will be moving to TV in June and wife gets to pick the golf cart and I get to pick the bass boat. Wife wants an Evolution D5 Ranger 4 seats facing forward, will be upgrading to a 210ah battery, should get 70 to 80 miles on a charge. Bass boat will be a Ranger or Tracker tin boat with a 75 or 115hp on it. House in TX goes up for sale on 5/16, hope for a quick sale and will be on our way.

People move to The Villages and start seeing what golf cars people have been buying and which ones have been here forever, and realize there is usually a reason for that.

While there are many great golf cart suppliers around the villages, it is also possible to get a good deal from Villages Golf Cars.
Let me share one method I found effective..... The villages puts basic Yamaha Drive 2 golf carts in every lifestyle visit home. After five years those carts are refurbished (tires, cover, windscreen etc) and sold in excellent condition though Village Gold cars. I bought a 2019 one last year for $8900. There are also sweeteners. If you buy a home from the villages you get a $400 coupon for villages golf cars. Also villages golf cars run a special almost continuously where you get $1200 of accessories free with any cart. Adding those together you can pretty well load up a golf cart (better seats, lights, speedometer, speakers...whatever you want within reason and $1600). If you do that you can have a loaded 5 year old yamaha golf cart in good condition for $9K. A pretty good deal. |

No statistics on carts needing to be towed. Possibly one case of a cart's lithium battery catching fire but wasn't in a garage and might have been an aftermarket modification.
