And it's a sign of younger people being taught no manners nor that certain things like bodily functions are private. When Tom Cruise and then-wife bronzed their daughter's first dump and had it on display in an art gallery and then sold it, it exemplified the "culture" and what is literally idolized (think golden calf in the bible)...

As another poster said above, we always managed to go to the car, bench in the mall where nobody else was nearby, bench/chair outside, etc. And the restaurants are usually required by health department laws to have a pull-down changing table in the restrooms. Starbucks should have been cited for that.
There are no laws requiring restaurants to have diaper changing stations in their restrooms. Some choose to provide them merely as a convenience to their patrons.

I'm not surprised that Starbucks doesn't provide them, since I rarely see children of any age in their establishments. Mostly adults.

It was only on the news for weeks at the time. And here are a couple of links. The first one illustrates my point about parents and their kids' poop that is wonderful and doesn't stink and everyone else shouldn't be deprived of smelling it while they dine out.

At our house, it only "Hit the Fan". We knew who was boss in the house and we knew the rules...like what is to be done only in a bathroom and not at the table.

OP asked what would you do? I would quickly move on over to Panera for my coffee.

I'd quickly move on somewhere, anywhere!
