Default Comcast Issue AGAIN...

We are not able to send mail through comcast email.....we called and they announced they were having trouble with their email server. It has been 3 days. Has anyone else had this issue?

Our comcast internet and cable TV went out for several hours yesterday (monday). That was the first time in about a year that we have had an issue.

Default Something to think about!

You might want to think about using YAHOO or Google (GMAIL) email. They are free and transparent to the internet provider (Road RUnner Comcast etc) your using. Up North I have Road Runner cable internet but use a YAHOO mail account. I find they work great and are a lot less trouble. You can easily access your mail from anywhere in the world that you can get to Yahoo or Google. PLus if you switch from Road Runner to Comcast for example or EMBARK you don't have to worry about changing email address. I don't see any down sides to their EMAIL services.

I prefer Comcast, never had any service issues and I believe they provide the best rates.

Upon arrival home our email was still not working....we called this morning and they walked us through the changes....we are now up and running!!

If anyone else if having issues sending call them....they figured out the problem and it was an easy fix.

Another vote to get a Yahoo mail account. I barely use my Comcast mail. I found out the hard way that if you change providers, you lose your emails. You never lose mail on Yahoo or gmail, regardless of who your ISP is with.

with Red. I have both Yahoo and Gmail and just love them. No matter where I am or what ISP I'm with my mail is always there and I never need to change my address.

Sorry, my last post was sent twice. I tried to delete the second one but can't find how to do it. Admins, is there a way to do that? There used to be on the old site but I can't figure out how on the new site.

The only way that you can delete your post is to go to EDIT (lower right hand corner of your post) then delete all of it and put in ... Beyond that I don't we can do anything...kind of a drag.

If you would like a post deleted, drop us a note or make a post and let us know. We will be happy to do it for you.

There is a long explanation why it is this way, but the short version is that some posts were changed, kind of unethically, and following posts were made to look ridiculous.

We can see now if post was edited, or changed, and all users can know it.

Not being able to delete posts hasn't solved that issue, IMHO.

There was a recent thread that started out pretty suggestive and was edited to a much more reasonable level by the poster, after the fact. In so doing he/she made the posters that responded look as if they were over-reacting, when in fact they were not. They were responding to the original post, before its modification.

Guess I am missing the point.

Thanks Tony and Susan. It was the double post I wanted to delete because it made me look silly, posting the same thing twice. But I guess being silly is o.k. So don't waste hour time deleting it Tony. I'll try not to send the same post twice again. Don't you just love non-techies.
