When will this torture end.. So my normal sleep schedule is meditating yoga, or easy swim, then reading around 10-11p. REM around midnight to 3:30a move into light sleep and fully awake before 4a. I am ready for a 20 hour ish day, refreshed and renewed.

On my third day of fully awake at 2:30a. 4 hours I’m good, 3 not so much. With sleepy time tea, sleep oils, Vicks, soap at feet, and natural sleep aide every night sleep still alluding my well being. It takes months to recover my day light savings sleep loss, just when recovery is in my grasp, here it comes again. Can’t take prescription anything, causes severe night terrors. Sleep clinics love me for my almost all REM sleep. Even our cat has difficulty with feeding schedule.

Have been a satisfied four hour sleeper forever, just like my father, grandparents, and their parents, before them.

Anyone else find adapting twice a year just wrong.

I have no problem adjusting to going ONTO DST, but when we go off in November it takes me about a week before my body and sleep cycle adapts.

I must be one of life's lucky guys regarding sleep and time change.
I can manage with little or no sleep for quite sustained periods, yet can drop off to sleep anywhere by just closing my eyes.
Never been a problem for me.

Stop looking at clock. When I retired I stopped letting clocks be boss. Besides one hour doesn’t make difference. All in our heads. And for some of us in goes in one side and out the other. And for others it just bounces around for couple weeks.

Such a shame we have to change time 2 times a year. I'm ready for the change to stop. Maybe 1 good vote to end this.

used to say; 'the only good thing about DST is that in forces everyone to set their clocks twice a year.'
Now most are automatic.

Had same ideas. Worst trip is going to Europe. Over-night flight and in most cases person can not check into a hotel

Nonsense is state of Arizona. They do not change. 1/2 of the year they are on Pacific time and other 1/2 they are on Mountain time.

I hate turning back the clocks, but not because it effects my sleep, it adversely effects my daily activities. Not being an early morning person, the hours of daylight are simply too short to get in the usual schedule of activities. If they would only keep the sports pools open for lap swimming a couple hours after it gets dark!

DST doesn't affect me much; it isn't too hard to get up an hour earlier or an hour later, especially now that I'm retired and don't have anywhere to be. But what value is there in DST and if none then why go through all the trouble? If DST is just an example of cutting the ends off the Christmas ham then we could save a lot of trouble and complaining by simply ending it.
