Default Do you wash your reusable grocery bags?

This article was in the Orlando Sentinel this morning:

http://www.orlandosentinel.com/featu...,3079427.story

Personally, I never thought about it because our Publix puts all of the meat in
a plastic bag before putting it into my reusable bag.

I guess I am going to have to do an occasional washing of these reusable grocery bags.

Default wash grocery bags

Yes I do wash them when they look grubby. Mine are from OneBagAtATime. I don't know what they're made of. I take out the cardboard inserts and throw them in the washer with cold water. They air-dry very quickly.

You use the fabric bags to toss out the litter?

I wonder just how many folks are using the reusable bags. If you do use them are you careful to use only Publix bags at Publix, Fresh Market bags at Fresh Market, etc?

I do now! Mine are a heavy duty canvas and are extremely strong...but now a little smaller since they were washed this weekend.

Just wondering. I bet some people do. I've never seen a WD bag in Publix But for the record I don't buy clothing at Publix.

Not sure what happened there. I meant to say that I've never seen a WD bag in Publix and I figure that WD sells their own bags.

Cool Ya worried about germs~ huh ?

Think about that rolling counter that we put our groceries on..... packages of meat, chicken that might be contaminated with e-coli, salmonella, mad-cow and then we place our other bags/boxes of food, etc. on that rolling counter and take it home to our clean kitchen counters and place the items there..... YUCK !

I love to use the wrong reusable bags ! My favorite is a TJMaxx bag that I use at Publix. I also have bags from grocery stores in other parts of the country, it's just a fun diversion to the boredom of grocery shopping.

I bring them all - Publix and my blue bags with the NY Giants logo. I do notice that they use the Publix bags before they use the blue bags.

I go on vacation and often wonder how many coffee mugs or t-shirts do I need? So, now on vacation, I try to pick up a shopping bag from a new supermarket. My favorite is a Tesco bag I got in England visiting my grandbabies. Good memories!
