Does anyone know of a local group or organization that takes old computers & peripherals -- to recycle, refurbish or donate?

If you get any info about this, please post it. I'm sure there's a lot of garages with a lot of techie stuff taking up needed space out here..

Our sellers had left us an old computer and we contacted one of the computer groups. They begged off, saying that there is so much old equipment that they simply could not accept it.
