Default Driveway Sealer

Anybody try to DIY a concrete sealer on a driveway? I have a small area of about 100sq feet that needs to be resealed. A company gave me a quote of $800 because it was too small to be worth it to them. The concrete lost it's shine and slick look due to a gallon of chemical cleaner dropping from trunk and busting.

I did a search, but mostly it was companies to call.
Advice on type to buy?

It is very easy.
Pressure wash so it is dirt free
Go to Sherwin Williams and tell them what you want to do and the will give you what you need.
Probably 1 gl of sealer and some rollers & tray.

After re-cleaning my concrete driveway with a surface cleaner three times, I decided to try sealing it.
It looks great three years later.

Be sure to add a material like shark grip or you will probably have a very slippery surface when it is wet.

My sealed driveway beads water like crazy and it's probably more slick but not dangerous at all.
Painted driveways are a hazard.

I agree with you, but the OP did not provide sufficient info, so I am assuming a relatively smooth existing finish, which could become very slippery when sealed.
Also, I forgot to add, the OP needs to make sure the new sealer is compatible with any existing finish and needs to be applied during periods of low humidity to avoid moisture getting trapped in the new coating which can cause cloudiness in the finish.

Very easy to do oneself. Pressure wash, let dry, then roll the sealer on. Recommend two coats. Lowe’s or Homedepot. If you have a pressure washer total cost less then $75.00

I used a concrete stain from Home Depot on my driveway. Comes in a variety of opaque colors, rolls on easily, and water cleanup. Looks great, non-slippery and easy to re-coat or touch up as needed. Simple and inexpensive.

Interesting, I used the same product in my garage, and was told by Sherwin Williams specifically to add Shark Grip, which I did.

Maybe so on a smooth surface like a garage floor. I have found over the years that the HC is never slippery on the pavers porous surface.

One of the greatest snake oil schemes/scams ever is driveway sealing ( mostly asphalt)
In most cases it can make blacktop worse.
The advise in these follow ups looks good.

Supreme Seal from Lowes has held up for multiple years for us. I used a Chapin 19149 sprayer. Since it was new concrete I did not pressure wash the surface. I have had no inter-coat adhesion failures.
