Perhaps, Tucson, you have already considered Craiglist.org. If not, it may be another idea for selling your RV.

I agree that craigslist may be a better choice. The problem with an RV is that it is local pick up only. E-bay is best used for shipping items. But they do have an auto section so I guess it is possible.

Another vote for craigslist.org (the org is crucial -- you type in "net" and you're going to get a porn site).

tucson, I would also recommend craigslist. I sold a car on craigslist about a year ago. I had listed it with autotrader, and had no luck until I listed it with craigslist. Wish I hadn't spent the money listing it elsewhere.

Another vote for Craig's list. We bought turn-key in The Villages so I had furniture to sell. Did so on Craig's list. Easier because you deal with interested party personally and can arrange payment & pick-up, etc., by listing phone number or if you don't want them to call personally, they can contact you through Craig's list email. no pay-pal involvement. Also can post pictures. I am not computer savy but figured out how to post ad and picture. No cost. Good luck.

You might try listing it with The Villages RV Club also.

No - how to avoid one that may try to screw up my puter. I swore off porn ages ago; too boring.

You know, you can list it here for free. Lots of items have sold right here in The Villages using Talk of the Villages "free" classified ad service.

Just a thought!!

For example, yesterday, somebody post a sewing machine for sale. In the first 24 hours, 98 people had viewed the ad. Not bad for a free service HUH?

We know two unrelated people who bought vehicles on ebay and were happy with their purchases; on the other hand, sellers have to pay fees that have recently become hefty enough that they've lost a ton of sellers and recently laid off (I think) some 1,500 employees.

We bought quite a bit of stuff on craigslist while furnishing our place here, and we swear by them. By and large it's just local people selling (that is, not businesses, though we did find a few of those). For sellers it's free (a huge plus!), and it caters to local rather than national and even international as ebay does. Our suggestion would be to use both www.ocala.craigslist.org and www.orlando.craigslist.org. Ocala is, of course, closer but relatively small, while Orlando, though a bit further, is huge.

Good luck selling the RV!

Agree, TH.. I bought my golf cart right here on TOTV and I couldn't be happier with it. It was a great deal and I knew the owner, it made it very easy. Thanks for the reminder.

In addition to TOTV and craigslist, you can also use www.kijiji.com . It is another free service similar to craigslist although a little easier to use. To maximize audience coverage, I always use both craigslist and kijiji.
