After being swarmed for the last week, I googled a solution to the LB pest problem...........mix dishwasher detergent with water in a spray bottle and take it with you.....I take it with me in the golf cart and spray away the bugs. lol

We are moving down Monday (story of my life), so just what we need. What ratio do you mix the detergent to water? Thanks for the tip. I'll try it.

Drove to Ocala yesterday, on the way back had to go through a quick car wash in order to see through my windshield... before the wash, looked at my car grill, it was loaded with bugs some were still alive... ewwwwwwww!!!!

Sat outside Starbucks, it was impossible to enjoy my coffee. They were everywhere, including in my hair... ewwwwwww!!!

Never will LOVE LOVEBUGS!!!

Be happy that the Love Bugs do nothing more than fly around you and do not sting or bite like yellow jackets or no-see-ums. The Love Bugs are only around 2 months of the year. Small price to pay to live in a wonderful place like The Villages. (I wonder if the Love Bugs get a reduced rate on their trail fees?)

Ditto. They're on the northern Gulf Coast as well.

I tried to get you to stay indoors during daylight hours and stick to your normal nocturnal habits!
Wait til someone yells "the coast is clear".

"Love bugs" are drawn to the highways by light and automobile exhaust fumes.Another reason to buy electric!
