Florida National Cemetery - Wikipedia
I was wondering if people have experience with getting a loved one's remains into Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell? My late father passed in late 2020 and was in a M.A.S.H. unit after the Korean War ceasefire and received an honorable discharge as a Wolfhound. How long does the process take, how far from the Villages is this (say from Sumter Landing) and what kind of experiences have you had there? Last edited by Taltarzac725; 07-28-2026 at 10:14 PM. |

A neighbor was buried there. The funeral director made the arrangements.
It is a lovely facility and well run. It is large. There are in-ground burials and also niches for cremains. There are covered locations scattered throughout the cemetery where you can hold services. I think it took about 45 minutes to get there. I'm sure they would be happy to answer your questions if you phone them. |

We interred my parents remains at the location in Amelia, VA and it was a very well coordinated process. It’s really great to offer this to our vets and their spouses.
We’re hoping to have the same experience with my recently deceased in-laws at Bushnell. Just waiting for my wife to be ready to part with the urns. |
