ALABAMA ... Was the first place to have 9-1-1, started in 1968.

Now, I think those are fun factoids!

I note particularly that Yale students invented the frisbee I try to stay away from politics but does that explain something about the previous administration?

And, yes, the ice cream cone was invented at the Saint Louis World's Fair in 1903. It has always been a source of great pride in the city.

The Frisbie Baking Company (1871-1958) of Bridgeport, Connecticut, made pies that were sold to many New England colleges. Hungry college students soon discovered that the empty pie tins could be tossed and caught, providing endless hours of game and sport.

In 1948, a Los Angeles building inspector named Walter Frederick Morrison and his partner Warren Franscioni invented a plastic version of the Frisbie that could fly further and with better accuracy than a tin pie plate.

It was called a pluto platter and the rights were sold to a company called Wham-O. The name was later changed to frisbee.

I remember having one the early pluto platters but that was years ago.
