I do like your description of analysis paralysis.
That is another idiosyncrasy of mine ... I like things that flow or rhyme, like "snug as a bug in a rug" or "cotton headed ninny muggins".

Anyway, reading your post, I realized I also suffer from analysis paralysis.
Except that I am very indecisive about small purchases only.
I can buy a house or a car with little analysis because I rely totally on intuition.
However it takes me days to buy something small like a blender or towels.
Is idiosyncratic the root of the word idiot?

On top of being afflicted with analysis paralysis, I am a world class procrastinator. My motto is, "Thank God for the last minute. Without it, I'd never get anything done."

You can order a case? What kind of cookies?

I would get into major trouble with that many cookies in
my house!

I also have to have money by denomination and all facing up
in my wallet.
I can only drink tea in my Pooh mug.
Have favorite glasses I drink from.
Love to make lists, never on a computer, must be with
paper and pen (gel only).
Won't touch meat without gloves.
There are many more...

My husband just laughs and shakes his head.

A college roommate kept one sponge to wash dishes and a different one to wipe the countertops or scrub the stove, and two dishtowels for the same functions. As you can imagine, I would always use the opposite ones when he wasn't there.

I got another one - big one - I absolutely HATE change especially to my schedule. The otherhalf does something where the hours change seasonally and it drives me crazy. I just get used to the new hours and it changes again ....................

Me too. I get so bogged down in researching details that I can't see the forest for the trees.

I will do tons of research when planning a trip, only to be lost as to where to start. My husband will reach into all the facts I've amassed, pull one out and say, "Start here." It always works.

We are snowbirds and the house we are leaving has to be immaculately clean before we leave. Drives the husband crazy.

I perseverate which means that I "repeat or prolong an action, thought, or utterance after the stimulus that prompted it has ceased." This drives my long suffering wife crazy as well as other family members.
I can't help it but am learning to curb it.

Like Pat, I do all of the above. I thought everyone did.

Here are a few of mine:

Food can't touch on the plate.
Pillowcases must be arranged with the opening away from the door (left over from my days working in a hospital)
Bills in money clip sorted by denomination (smaller ones outside) and facing the same direction
Plates and bowls in dishwasher must have upside facing to the left.
Shoes and socks go on in a specific order - right sock, left sock, left shoe then right shoe. Reverse the order to remove. This one may be a definite sign of OCD issues.

One thing I noticed when we bought our house - the screws in all of the switch plates have the slot arranged almost perfectly vertical. So, I am adding this if I replace any switches.

I do the same three things every morning and in a certain order.

Money in order by denominations.

Put kitchen items back in the exact same place.

Never put my seatbelt on until after I am under way... this is a bad one.
