Default Another tipping question

Do you tip delivery people, such as men that deliver furniture? Or, install new windows?

If the delivery men do more than you expected, tip them. Window installers and other craftsmen I don't typically tip, however, I keep them supplied with ice water or sodas......and maybe a plate of cookies. I say typically no, but, if someone goes beyond the norm I think a tip is in order.
Tipping is a personal thing!

Just the way I think too, especially the cookies and drinks.

Default Tipping?

A swift kick in the butt and a threat to call their boss if they don't do a great job is usually how I handle these things. You know how us old cranky women are........

I have always tipped, but wondered what others do. A neighbor was having some furniture delivered. She was up North, so I met the delivery truck. She did not say anything about a tip, and I felt, well maybe embarassed, not tipping, but I didn't.

I don't tip furniture delivery guys, workers around the house. As some have mentioned I'd make sure they something cold to drink and maybe a goodie or two to munch on! I do tip Flower delivery people though. It's become such a world of tipping and it really gets expensive on top of the regular charges. i do think a Christmas bonus is appropriate for cleaning people, lawn people and other people that service your home throughout the year.

I always tip for a job well done by delivery people. It's often difficult unloading stuff I order in all sorts of weather. If they do a really great job, I not only tip but make sure to call the company to tell them that their delivery folks are good representatives of their company.

When I read the subject, I thought this was a discussion about tipping cows. Sorry 'bout that!
