Talking Yes!

The Tony Doll! Yes I had one of those. It was a male doll and anytime you said something wrong, it would write you a warning note! HAHAHAHA! OK, don't get mad Tony! Couldn't resist that one.

Seriously, I did have a Tony doll and could give her permanents. I had forgotten about Betsy Wetsy too. Why is it we wanted dolls that pee-ed on us? No wonder we are, indeed, the strangest generation!

Default Dolls

One Christmas I received a doll that my mother had made up for me. She went to a doll factory and chose the head, arms and legs. The body was soft. I don't know why she went to a doll factory, but know it was during the war. One time my brother "operated" on her and took out her appendix. We sewed her up with needle and thread.

Another time, I received twin dolls and a beautiful set of clothes that one of the women at the church had sewn.

I let my daughters play with them, and they destroyed them.

The Tony Doll can be marvelously amusing to some people.

I had a betsy wetsy too!!! Forgot all about her! I have a crate here with about 6 1st year cabbage patch dolls of my daughters. I see her often. I keep reminding her of them. The dolls are still here. Why did I save these??!!
I also loved the game-Mystery Date!

I don't remember...did the Tony doll drink and pee on itself like Tiny Tears and Betsy Wetsy?

I think the permanent was spelled Toni.
