I have no problem with Google.
I have no idea what this even means. Google is not a "news program", but regardless, the $7 gas was in CA, not FL. Are you unaware that the price of gas varies wildly from state to state?

Gas prices in CA are well over $6/gallon right now. Diesel is about $7.50/gallon...

P.S. I got that info from Google...

The search engine duckduckgo is a terrific alternative to Google. Duckduckgo does not retain your searches and does not data-mine your information. The searches are clean. Much better than Google. I've used it for many years.

Ah good catch/translation. The spelling and grammar on this board are atrocious.

True, except for the bolded part. That was previously true as well up until the Ukraine war started and DDG joined in with other Big Tech to decide what you should be allowed to read or not.

duckduckgo-down-ranks-russia-misinformation

That being said, DDG is still way better that Google for search as it's (at least for now) still private, and has a quality layout including news/social media results/images/etc that are still lacking in engines like Brave that don't filter.

Try changing your search criteria. Your results will be based on a) your search criteria, b) your previous searches to determine what you are actually interested in, c) most recent search results from around the web, d) most popular result (meaning what people have actually clicked on, not merely the list that they read), and various and sundry other criteria.

Half the nonsense that is posted here is without attribution.

I have found Outkick to be overall factual, albeit with a centre-right perspective. Still way more credible than CNN.
My source is the Google source code; the parts that are open source, for my own perusal, and a friend who works for Google for the rest. Unless you've read it or know someone personally who actually works with it, you'll know only what your selection of search results will tell you.

Much of the Google source code is open source. Some is proprietary.

Companies do what is financially in their best interest.
As far as conspiracy theories, there are facts and falsehoods.
People will believe what they have predetermine to be the truth.
If something does not conform to what they already believe it is a conspiracy.

Try typing in Newsmax first to get any of their articles. They are all I watch now and I feel tell more of a whole story instead of leaving out impirtants facts.

Yup, their classic response, follow the leader. Self thought is long gone. That's why it's working for them...

Do you dial up the friend first first? Open source? Open to what they haven't blocked..

Even a 5 year old know that these companies do this. You do know that people wrote the code to do your searches, determine what type of ads are displayed on your screen, and how to manipulate the searched data.
I worked at a web based company that looked at each of your initial packets of data when you go out to certain websites (financial, online sales) and modified a part of your data to tell the website you were going to if you were a bad person or a good person. (This is very high level. This technology that can dynamically identify new fraud patterns as they emerge). It would be very easy for a developer to place a flag on your data saying you had a certain affiliation based on your prior searches, or you have been flagged by another website that you were a bad person/fraud.
Don’t be naive! This happens all the time. Beware of your page content and you will know what I mean.
