I LOVE the internet for any thought I have that I'm not sure of. I just google it...
Plus shopping, paying bills. keeping up with friends, etc, etc, etc......

But it has made me gain weight as I spend soooo much time sitting on the couch typing, instead of doing more active things.
I've had to put myself on an 'internet time budget', along with a diet!!! 024

Like everyone else has posted, it is invaluable to me. Paying bills, emailing friends, researching, learning (was there life before Google???), news from all corners of the globe etc etc.

I think however the most important thing to me is the friendships I have developed over the internet. I belong to a very close knit message board (we all own the same timeshare) and over the years we have become each others family. It makes me proud to say that we are all different ages, backgrounds, religions, colors, and there is a bond that has formed that distance can never break. We have helped each other bury parents, bury friends, divorces, marriages, births, illnesses, happy times, and most of all carried each other when one needed carrying. We all now plan trips to our timeshare (Disney Vacation Club) the same weeks, and spend many days and nights enjoying together what we love most in the world. We always get the most laughs when we are all seated at a table, the most diverse group you could imagine, and people ask how we know each other...we answer the INTERNET of course!

The biggest and best for me is that I met Mr Wonderful, aka Bill, online and married him. We've been married for 2 1/2 yrs now and are so very happy together. It had to be.....we are soulmates.....barb

I can't mention all the ways it has changed my life. Too many things to mention here.

Let's face it, we are all so integrated into the web that it has become seamless. I guess that would be the highest compliment that you can give a product.

In 1993, we built a house in the northeast and when we moved into it in 1994, we had a choice to make. Sprinkler system, or computer. We chose a computer, and the rest is history. Cannot live without it. Laptop for traveling, so I am never without contact with the outside world!!

Default computers

Besides all the other things mentioned, I will add--I managed to live all of my long and wonderful life without any addictions. I went to the top party school in the USA and never smoked pot or used any other drug. Wouldn't even play cards for fear of wasting useful study or work time. Now, at long last, I am an addict. I can't get through a day without playing my computer game, TETRIS. Anyone else out there afflicted with this addiction?

I am so addicted to obtaining information from the computer. It is the education I love. now I use SKYPE to visit with my10 week old grandaughter. Next I will be skyping with my 4 day old grand twins.People love interacting with other people. It is human nature. I love nature.

As a Njurse, I find it so easy to learn about diseases and outcomes. About meds. Drug reactions and ways to change lifestyles.

Did you know that for every extra pound of fat you have, your heart has to pump thru 4 extra miles of blood vessels? Well I know that I would be miserable without my PC, so dont take it away!

When asked what the greatest invention of our time has been usually you hear the automobile, the jet plane, and a myriad of other very useful products and/or things that have made our lives a lot easier. In my opinion, there has never been anything that could remotely come close to the advent of the PC. It trumps everything that has ever been invented. I call it the "Know It All Box" because I guarantee you there is absolutely nothing in the entire world that you cannot find out about via this incredible device. We often ask "how did we ever get along in life before the widespread introduction of the computer"? Answer--not very easily!! From A to Z, I guarantee you that my little computer has the answers to everything -- and I mean everything!!!
