I agree. It helps pass the time and in many instances helps cement friendships, create relationships, or does other often wonderful things. I have found TOTV to be one of the best experiences I have had on the Internet since becoming a web addict around 1999.

I run into people who know about me and my various experiences all over the Villages. TOTV has played a huge role in that.

I do not know how many posts I have but now that the subject is being raised I will take a peek as soon as I submit this post.

For most posters the main reason for posting is sharing.

While I try not to be rude or hurt anyone's feelings you can be assured that if I say it here I would say it to all in person. The reason many of us remain anonymous is because some folks just are born to be pesky

Once again, you confuse me, not hard to do, I know. LOL. I have full confidence that you above all else, would be the same in person as on the net. You and Bucco are obviously both very honest straight forward and very intelligent. although we often disagree, I can say nothing but positive statements about your integrity and ability.

I a serious note the only reason I pointed out that I wouldn't say anything on here that I wouldn't say in person was solely because some posters seem to believe that other posters seem to hide so they can take free shots, etc. My apology for the personal reference but I did not feel it my right to speak for others nor do I suspect they would desire to give away that right

Sharing of information is the big dividend here on TOTV

Again you confuse me, but I hope since every one knows my name and address, understands that I come with open arms, that I hide nothing. I mean no harm, but will openly express my difference of opinion. I do say again, that you and Bucco are very honest posters.

I think for a lot of us it is information sharing, reading about local happenings, helping newbies with their questions about The Villages, and more. For some people it is also a form of socialization. I prefer to socialize with people face to face, but it is understandable that some people are unable to get out of the house for various reasons, whether it is poor health or looking after loved ones, and online forums such as TOTV serve as a substitute means of having contact with others. And the monthly get-togethers at Crispers probably help reinforce those online friendships.

In six years I have so enjoyed this forum. Probably the main reason is that I can read far better than I can hear these days and probably because I have always been a people person. I have made many friends on this forum and sadly, a few enemies, a first for me because I usually avoid all kind of confrontations. I think being sheltered by the screen on the computer gives us a bit of courage, somewhat like a couple of Bud lites.


I am not sure why I post so much, I am pretty sure it is an obsession, but I enjoy it.


One of the reasons I love this forum is getting to know and make friends with wonderful people like 2BNTV. I am SO glad he is NTV now, safe and sound. I know many people, like me followed his long journey to his "dream".

Thank you so very much for your kind words. It means a lot to me.

TOTV is addictive for people who enjoy other people, and hearing what they have to say. Some people think their truth, is the only truth. Some people think only serious post should be made, and when something of significant value can be imparted.

I for one, go for the humor when applicable, and can be serious for matters of significance. We all choose when we want to joke around and with whom, we joke with.


We all would be better off, "if we agree to disagree respectfully.


Editorial - The last sentence is serious, and should be adhered to. Besides, it's one of the rules of TOTV forum, that sadly, is sometimes overlooked. IMHO
