The pull down option only shows up if you are logged in. Otherwise, you can only see the top 10.

Take the word "excessive" out of your vocabulary.
Most of what you say is well accepted and makes sense or is informative,
and not like my stuff, half of which is removed.

Dear Lou:

10. You check your blog stats a LOT. You occasionally get up in the middle of the night and sneak a peak.

9. Your significant other suspects you are having an affair with your blog. Even when you’re alone with your special person, you do find yourself thinking what your blog might be doing right then…

8. You “mental blog” while driving or on the train, and sometimes even when you are alone in the shower.

7. You filter everything through your post-writing. You can’t watch a movie, see a play, read an article, or share a sweet moment with your child without thinking of whether it’s blog-worthy.

6. You suffer from “blog envy” when another blogger posts something juicy before you do. You suffer “comment envy” when said post gets 40-something comments – the jerk!

5. You “binge blog” 3 or 4 posts at once—only to feel guilty and empty afterward.

4. You ditched all your real friends for blog friends, because, well, “they understand.” You bypass Bowling Alone at the bookstore (who really cares?) while you reach for Naked Conversations.

3. You think, “I can stop at any time.”

2. Your lunch hour has become your “blog hour.” You keep a few posts tucked in your desk in case you need them during the day.

1. After 5 minutes of meeting someone really interesting you ask, “So - do you blog?”

Dear Lou:

I have 7,759 posts and with this one 7760. I did these posts when I was working, and a had a lot of extra time, as my job, was not demanding.

Nine of these points, don't apply to me, as I have a busy schedule, with many priojects to do.

I will be the first to admit this site is addictive, (#3), and can be fun, as well as informative. Anyone who is planning to move to TV, would find this blog immensely helpful, in easing the transition.

I have posted a lot less now that I am in TV, because there are so may things to do. I would find it hard to stop, as I like to be informed about the people I care about, via this forum. We all live busy lives, but never too busy to help our friends, in time of need.

BTW - I have trouble sleeping, as my mind is racing, with things I need to do, Hence, this post may seem, as if in the middle of the night but I can't sleep with so many projects, whirling in my head and not to rush, what I need to say.

WarmesT Regards,

Joe

BTW - If you get thrown off of this forum, I think your new handle should be.

I had trouble finding it also until I figured out what rayschic meant (btw thanks). This may not be the issue for you, but it was for me. You do not click on Top Posters, you click on the Top Ten Stats. Check out this attachment...

As I approach twenty thousand posts, I have something to say on this issue. I have read hostile posts about me and my enormous quantity of posts on Topix, probably by those who snipe at me every once in awhile on this forum.

I love reading what people think, what people suspect, what people are planning, what makes them happy or sad, or MAD and what they do every day. I love responding to them and bantering with them and debating with them and arguing with them and joking with them.
.
In six years I have so enjoyed this forum. Probably the main reason is that I can read far better than I can hear these days and probably because I have always been a people person. I have made many friends on this forum and sadly, a few enemies, a first for me because I usually avoid all kind of confrontations. I think being sheltered by the screen on the computer gives us a bit of courage, somewhat like a couple of Bud lites.

I am not sure why I post so much, I am pretty sure it is an obsession, but I enjoy it.

One of the reasons I love this forum is getting to know and make friends with wonderful people like 2BNTV. I am SO glad he is NTV now, safe and sound. I know many people, like me followed his long journey to his "dream".

I am happy to read that most agree, we that have thousands of posts are a little lacking in something, but since we enjoy it, what is the harm.
